Thanx guys, nice to know my posts will be of some use.
I store my 500ml of nic juice in amber glass bottles also and store them in the door of my fridge. I only keep about 60ml to hand.
And yes flavouring over time will lose potency, just as herbs and spices do, so just keep them in a cool dark place to ensure a reasonably long life.

Thanks Griz for the great insight into ' mixing your own', I shall definately be using your system of drop mixing. I was just looking for info on this subject and it was fabulous to find such a wealth of information in just one thread ! As a newbie, to both vaping and mixing, I was quite worried about getting it right BUT after reading this I feel much more confident about the whole thing. I am looking forward to getting to grips with some recipes now, just waiting on the last couple of supplies to arrive and after reading your thread I am all fired up and ready to go ! Thanks again for the wealth of info and useful guidelines. HeadHunter

Awesome work, Thanks Griz Only started Vapping today, going good but I only have 2 tobacco flavours at the moment and am thinking of having a go at thisat some point in the future. I don't know how to do a quote box but you said 'I've been looking to emulate Fry's Chocolate Cream but as yet no cigar. However, I was quite surprised at this combination it's quite a pleasant vape.' This is something that has spun my head a few times over the years and started looking it up, from this site I got in my head bergamot possibly with rose www.bbcgoodfoodshow.com/nostalgic-chocolates-new-flower-powerKeep on cookin

Wow, fantastic read. It sounds like a lot of fun but quite time consuming. It's defo got me interested in your juices.......of the "e" type of course Just choked on my custard vape funniest forum line i seen in ages What a fantastic read Griz. To think i hadn't even heard of vaping a few weeks ago and now i seem to have entered a whole new fascinating world. I can't stop reading this forum. It blows my mind. So much to learn about. Mixing seems a bit too mathematical for me, but hubby is very interested in giving it a go at some point. He has now disappeared into his cave with his e notebook reading up on it all. Next thin i know i'll hear clangs, bangs and the ssmell of smoke and he'll blow up the house!!!

Hi Grizwald,
I'm going to use your guide as my bible, it's clear and detailed.
Quick question though, have you tried the vg from mistral? If so would it be suitable?
i have emailed dr oetker with respect to viscosity levels etc and hope to hear from them soon.
Thanks

Welcome to you DifferentShades . . . Griz doesn't get to post much thesedays, so I'll answer you question for you if you don't mind.
Mistral had an issue with the purity of their PG/VG in March 2012, I'd imagine that's resolved now, although whether their business haas suffered as a result I couldn't tell you.
If it's Plain VG you're after, then your local chemist is the place to look . . . I get mine in Boots, £1.29 for a 250ml bottle. Normally with the cough mixture it is.

No it's in stock DS, I believe some Boots will order in PG for you, but I don't use that.
Lloyds Chemist also stock it . . . and then there's several Vendors who sell mixing supplies who also stock plain VG & PG.
