And thanks for the fast despatch of my Kick2 Jason. Now all I need is a Nemesis to try it in - I wonder what's in that little box under the Christmas tree

Jason didn't slip up and give you the cocomel recipe did he? per chance Pleeeeeeze Lol. I haven't read the full thread yet. Is not not on here then? Oddly enough, back in the day when I first ordered my beloved Banoffee, I also ordered Cocomel. I never took to it the same as the Banoffee. Having said that I didn't read up on it and I gotta admit I had the misconception that the "Coco" part was coconut not cocoa. I'm still emotionally scarred to this day. The Coco part is coconut!! From the description "A well balanced blend of coconut and caramel."

I have discussed this with Griz before now (honest), but the problem is that he combines different flavours at different stages, so whilst it would probably be possible for the very basic flavours, it wouldn't be easy to do for the ones with multiple flavours in them (which most of them do have). We would have to send them out in several bottles with an instruction manual ??? So, not on the cards - at least for now.

I'm now going to be cheeky and ask whether it would really make that much of a difference to the end result if all the flavours were combined in the first place. After all they do all go into the same bottle, sooner or later. But I do know how particular Griz is with his mixing procedures.

I'll try and explain a bit better actually: One of Grizwald's Recipes has 6 or 7 different flavourings in it - in varying percentages. If you just put all them flavours together in a bottle - it tastes rancid (sorry Griz) However - if you combine flavours A+C+D and then leave for 24 hours before adding B - the result is totally different and makes the finished product. Clear as mud

Yes - it does make a difference for some flavours if they are all in one bottle - they just don't seem to mature the same way, regardless of how long they are left.
