Very nice for the price Yes the one you bought takes an 18650, I have protected 17670's in both of mine but that's only because I bought them months ago thinking they would fit a certain ecig mod I had at the time but they didn't but they do fit my torches I don't think the torches have built in protection, however, plenty of people get on ok with IMR's in their ecigs but its not a constant power drain like a torch would be when its switched on. I had a quick Google and saw this it seems they would be ok just like in a mech ecig mod but you'd just need to be careful not to overdischarge it. Protected would of course be the one's to use. Thanks Simate - useful thread there. I had a brief enthusiasm for torches a while ago and read some stuff on the forums etc. but decided vaping was expensive enough without getting too interested in torches It did lead me to a good source for AW batteries though which I don't think I've posted for a while: www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?230876-AW-s-LiIon-Batteries-Sales-Thread-*Part-12*Direct from the man himself - you just e-mail him if you want to buy some. Back to torches - I'm hoping some Sennybor protected I got ages ago will fit as they are too fat for nearly all my stuff and will be good to get some use out of them.

That looks good as well, a 3w led multi colour lamp. But obviously a lot brighter than what you would think being an led lamp. I have asked the question whether you need a driver board for the lamp or if a straight 12v is okay. They would do a great job in the garden around the fish pond etc. The price is exceptional £3-86 www.fasttech.com/products/1332110

It'd be handy to know what the bulbs runs off.

Nice find Robby, willing to bet those have a driver built in & you just need to supply 12v. Might add 1 to my next order and see if I can fit it into the hood of my tropical aquarium.
Been looking for a cheaper way of getting a nice "blue moon" led in there for evenings.
Would be interested to know if it can be set to 1 colour or if it's constantly cycling through...there's no button on the remote that says "fixed" or anything.

I ordered on Monday, had an e-mail today saying it would be sent in the next 12 hrs, but they're splitting the order as the clearos either weren't supplied to them in time or failed QC inspection

You'll find, if you look on your 12V supply, it will give a range of operating wattage, from 20W - 60W or similar. I'm sure fasttech will sell suitable low-load PSUs though. I found that out because I bought some MR16 LEDs and my existing ceiling PSUs wouldn't run them. I used them in the workshop instead, as handlamps, running off 3x18650 battery packs.

I used a strip of blue leds in my marine aquarium. It does look very blue in my photo but that's the way the camera decided to make it look lol.

I have seen those somewhere else for about 4 times the price and I am pretty certain you can fix the colour and the brightness Adam78 and thanks for the info farzooks, I think I have a load of basic 12V supplies that will do this
