I love beards, bloody hubby won't grow one though, says he's not old enough and they're too much hassle I would say exactly the opposite Jen , mine was grown out of pure laziness and find it no hassle at all, quick 1 min trim. I've tried telling him that but he's not having it! Mind you, since he has chickenpox atm he can't shave, so he'll have at least 2 weeks worth of beard by the time he could...perhaps some gentle persuasion or bribery would work??

I tried to grow a beard/tash for Movember, had grey bits in it Not a single grey hair on my head Nothing wrong with a salt and pepper type growth mono , can be quite distinctive.

I love beards, bloody hubby won't grow one though, says he's not old enough and they're too much hassle Hassle? How? The only hassle is if you go in for chin topiary where you spend ages each day sculpting your whiskers into strange shapes. If you just let a beard be a beard, there's no hassle involved. Scraping your face with a razor twice a day, that's a hassle. Now my beard is turning white, I'm pleased to have a face like a badger's arse.

Just getting my first grey hairs now (aged 28), more in my beard than on my head! Not too worried about them though, quite looking forward to seeing what the salt and pepper effect looks like!

I'm hoping shaving it all off after 2 weeks is going to be more trouble than it's worth. I do appreciate inventive facial topiary though. Some of those moustache/beard championship blokes are brilliant!

I'm sure I shaved the day I got married - that was 8 years ago. I think I could count on 1 hand, the number of times I've been clean-shaven in the last 20 years. Number 4 every 6-8 weeks. I used to know it was time for a trim when I couldn't light a rollie without the smell of burning hair emanating from my top lip. Not sure how I'll know now I'm a vaper? Why - shaving is a waste of time - You do it in the morning, if you're going out for the night, you do it in the evening. You go to bed. You get up, you shave. Yada, yada, yada. (Mind, I also have dreadlocks to save another pointless task: brushing hair - & to quash any myths, I DO wash it, 2 or 3 times a week )
