So I have a few questions again. I know I'm always asking questions, I'm rubbish lol What's the difference between a mod like the vamo and a mechanical mod. Pros and cons for both appreciated please. Next thing, I have seen you advising not to get the Chinese batteries and chargers so what brand of batteries do you recommend and what charger. Are the mods the Chinese vendors are selling the same as the ones in the UK or are they knock off versions of them? Again sorry for all the questions, hope you can help me x Sent from the bathtub using proboards

I'm not qualified to give advice on the different mods but I only use a vamo and love it.
Efest batteries are good and xtar wp charger, no problems with them so far and were recommended to me here when I first started.

Yep, buy batteries and chargers here as recommended by Arrowmunda. The vendors here import a lot of their stuff from China, so mostly it's the same but much more difficult to sort out if something goes wrong! A Mechanical mod has no electronics and is a bit like using a Riva battery and a mod like the vamo is like using a Twist or Spinner battery, you can adjust the output

Both mechanical mods and vv/vw mods have pros and cons, which make them equal for many reasons, but the main point is if the mod you have works for you then its the best you can have.

Electronic Mods use internal circuitry to power the atomiser and allow you to adjust the power to the atomiser. They have benefits of things like atomiser readers to tell you the resistance you have and also short circuit protection and battery cutoff which stops you from draining a battery too far and damaging it.
They are governed by the quality of the circuit board and each type has different capabilities. You use them with unprotected batteries (the circuitry protects you). If they break, they are harder to fix but are repairable. If the circuit board dies, you might as well throw the whole device away.
Mech mods are physical devices which use physical switches to form a circuit and fire the atomiser. You have less protection theoretically but you can buy protected batteries or upgrade them with devices that act as fuses for any short circuits. Over time they will deliver less power as the battery drains which results in a less satisfying vape (electronics can adjust the power upwards but this will drain the battery faster). If they break they are probably easier to repair since you do not rely on the circuitry. Well made mech mods should survive the Zombie Apocalypse.
There is a third variant which is an electrical mech mod ... these do not have any circuitry but have an electrical switch (directly wired) to fire the atomisers. Aside from this they are identical to mech mods.
Horses for courses really.
