We made good use of the 7 seats in my car yesterday and took daughter, her partner and two of my grandaughters aged five and eleven to Woburn Safari Park. We all had a fabulous fun day out. I have not laughed so much in years due to the antics of some of the animals. We got very lucky to be in the right place at the right time. We had only just driven in when we noticed a very large Rhino coming out of a shed. I pulled up next to it so we could take photo's. it quickly became obvious he was not alone as he suddenly mounted a female and a baby making session kicked off!! The eleven yr old descended into rapturous non stop giggling and the five yr old kept hollering "why is he pushing that one with his belly? Then the older one phones her friend to tell her she is watching Rhino porn." I couldn't speak for laughing. Eventually i told them to take a good look because i doubt you will ever see that again in your lifetime We moved on to the monkeys where we were lucky enough to have several youngster leap onto my car. I have a glass panoramic roof so when a male sat on the glass the kids got a birds eye, very close up view of his wedding tackle which once again sent the kids into a fit of howling laughter. Then, as a finale another monkey on a tree branch peed down onto my car!! We had such a fab day. Little one was so pleased to get to stroke an Asian elephant too. Will post pics in my photo album thread later.

You're lucky you just got view of the monkey's wedding tackle. A few years ago, we were at Knowlesley Safari Park (think that's what its called), and we had a wee monkey sat on the wing-mirror, playing with his wedding tackle Not been to Woburn since I was a kid. Glad you had a nice day.

Sounds like Spring has sprung & you all had a lovely day out enjoying it. Not half as much as that male rhino though!! You'll have to return in about 15months to see the baby.

You're lucky the monkeys did not dis-assemble your new car! The one's in Longleat are famous for it. Have happy memories of several visits to Longleat soon after it opened, late 60's I think, in my very classy Ford Anglia. Monkeys all over the car, but no damage... not much to rip off an Anglia! Rangers all over the place to keep us safe. Another place, close to Longleat, that me (and my parents) loved to visit was Stourhead. Absolutely stunning in the Spring & Summer. No animals, apart from peacocks, just beautiful landscaped gardens, trees, lakes etc, and a lovely pub in the grounds. Glad you enjoyed it Dolly, and thanks for invoking those memories for me.

This car has given me a new lese of life Raff. The trip yesterday bought back memories of Windsor safari park. That has long since closed and is now Legoland. I have decided to make this a wonderful summer for the kids. Going to search around for the next trip now.
