UDT-L 510 MOD Best Batteries ?

Hi, I am about to purchase a "UDT-L 510 MOD" link here, www.vapegear.co.uk/product/udt-l ,I have read the thread about it, from back in March, and all the good reviews etc, so more than confident it is a good/great buy, and know many of you people have one or two of them (Robbie, might have twenty or more, in various stages of de-chroming) and like them. Just a little unsure on what is the best batteries and charger to get, i.e, battery make, protected/unprotected, battery fit,  etc.

Is there a general consensus on batteries ?. I was thinking of placing an order with Fasttech for the batteries and charger as I am in no hurry and again have read all the good reports on here about Fasttech, offering best prices etc. Thank you in advance.

Best to stick with protected batteries in this one I believe.

Xtar's are a good charger and well regarded lynxkat . . . there are a number of versions available. Worth buying from an authorized Vendor as there are fakes about.

depends if you want to use your UDT in 18350 or 18650

I got a couple of "Efest IMR 18350 Button Top 800mAh" from vapegear with my UDT-L . If you're going 18650 you want protected batteries really, but IMR 18350's are fine.

I paid just over £20 for my nitecore i4 charger, wish I'd got it from fasttech, £13.47 ( with "CPASTE13SPRING" discount code)

XTAR VP1
XTAR SP2
Nitecore i4 & i2

the 2 XTAR's will be faster on 18650's but are more expensive.
