Over the last month i have been working my way through all of the clearo's i purchased and i am happy so far with most of them.
I now would like to try a new tank using stainless steel mesh like the AGA-T/DID Clone. I would like to buy just a starter type setup so am looking for something cheapish to start off on with this type of tank.
I am also looking for a dripper setup to try all of the new liquids i have enroute from various vendors. It has become a bit tedious trying out all of my liquids so far as i have been filling a clearo just to try it then having to wash it all out after each fill. As with the DID clone type i am looking for something cheap to try out to start with.
I was looking at the Cobra did from Fasttech and the DID clone from Vapourbreak but not sure on what one to go for. also the Phoenix from Vapourbreak for a dripper (if it is a dripper?)
Can anyone help me decide on what are good reliable cheapish setups?
Cheers Stu

Hi stu
I have a did clone from VB and an aga-s from vapegear. I'm not getting on with either. Neither have had any juice through them and in brand new condition. Happy to sell them onto you with some mesh and wire if your interested, £20 inc P&P. offers there if you want it mate. I'm sure others will have plenty suggestions tho.

Forgot to add, you can't go wrong with the Phoenix dripper from VB. it's a cracking we dripper and a steal at the price.

Thanks guys and cheers for the offer Kirrielad. I am just going to order the stuff from vapourbreak i think. Don't want to be buying too many of them as i may not like how they work.

The 3 clones you mention...none of them are actual clones of the real ones, just cheap attys using the same name. The phoenix Dripper from Vaporbreak has plastic posts so be careful if you plan on using lo res coils as they have known to melt.
The new Batch of RSST's have had a real drop in quality so again beware of them (these can by spotted by having a shiny white tank rather than the frosted ones in the first batch.)

The AGA S is easiest of the AGAs for SS because there is not the big gap between wick and centre post. The T2 and T+ have the option of a glass tank theyr're wider than the S. They are all convertible to silica if you find SS too much hassle. I use my T+ as a long lasting clearo - won't crack and never worry about a plastic taste.
Good luck whatever you choose.

So I received my phoenix and did clone from vapourbreak today. The shipping from the far east is getting better all the time.
What i would like to know is what is the best way to use phoenix. How much liquid do i drip into the well of it?
Also is there a guide on how to setup the did clone?

After receiving my blowtorch from Fasttech i have oxydised the ss mesh and i am about to try and set the Did clone up. Can anyone give me any pointers?

Drop a 2 mm drill bit into the hole and wind your coil on the shank..Take the drill out and fire a couple of times to stabilise the resistance.
Roll your mesh tight enough to insert into your coil. Drop a few drops onto the mesh directly before firing for the first time. The DID Clone is not a very good atty so hope for the best and vape. Line up the air hole on the top cap to sit directly in line with the mesh. If it does not line up you will need to sand down the top cap so that it does.

I'd have to agree that the version of the Phoenix that Vapingthings sells (although it's out of stock at the mo) is great. I think it's gives much better results than the Igo-L which is another budget fave, probably due to the airhole being directly under the coil. Modded mine last night into a 'Toddoid' while I wait for my Spheroid to drop through the letterbox and it's working really well in that mode too

I have given up all hope of getting the Did clone to work. I have tried plenty of times but i either get 9.9ohms or under 1ohms.
