Lol Nowt wrong with a spot of tinkering Blakey sold his Spheroids once he'd tried Kayfuns, and as the Dream is a Kayfun clone.....

What are you looking to achieve with the setup kirrielad with respect to flavour, vapour etc? A thing I would be interested in is will it give you a warmer vape? I am finding the vape pretty cool from the dream and to my taste, a cool vape doesn`t fit with a tobacco flavour which is what I vape 90% of the time. So far, the warmest vape I can get is a double coiled phoenix, so I am dripping most of the day, I love the flavour, vape and temperature I get off that

Fully approve of tinkering and trying things out,,why not!
Got to say, can't afford a Kayfun but if its as good or better than my Dream they are worth it to those that can!
Also useing a RSST and its very good too, the Chinese are getting good at produceing these devices at affordable prices, if not inovation, maybe that will come.

Guess I'm just wanting to try a different setup to compare really robby, flavour, throat-thit, vapour production and the like. The dream is hitting the spot perfect for me, but there's always room for improvement to a certain extent. I started out on ego-t's then to ce4 v3, quickly moved on to the vision Novas and everytime all of the above factors have improved greatly. Got my 1st dream about a week ago and the 2nd arrived yesterday and they have totally blown me away, absolutely cracking vape for the price. Can't help thinking that there might be something better that I'm still to try. The kayfun and the spheroid seem to be the most sought after atties of there kind and each has there own fan base that swear by them, kinda like the provari owners ect. If the dream is a close vape the the kayfun and can also be modes to vape kinda the same as a spheroid then that's fantastic for me, I get to try out both setups for a fraction of the price before shelling out top dollar for one of the "originals"

Ive took to wrapping a 5mm wide strip of scotch pad around in the little void that your supposed to wrap the wicks. Its a bit fiddly to slip the bell over, but Im finding its smoothing the flow rate and a lot less hassle than doing it with the silica.

I have neither the Dream nor the Kayfun so I cannot comment on anything to do with them.
But I do have 2 Spheroids and after watching the video and noting that with the use of the wool filler, it is the same idea, there is one major difference.
In the Spheroid, the air tube immediately above the coil is "Bell Ended" and so it almost encloses the coil. I think, from reading the splurge on the Spheroid website, this Bell End is the whole selling point of the Spheroid in that it concentrates the vapour and gives more taste and satisfaction. However, like all things e-cig wise. It is horses for courses.
I like the Spheroid because it is simple to set up and simple to use. Also that it will last me a long time so although expensive to buy, as a long term investment, I fully expect to still be using these 10 years from now and there is no other atty that I have with that kind of life expectancy.

This looks really interesting, especially since I bought a Dream from the group buy which has the copper problems with the cone. I have it sitting gathering dust in a drawer. By coincidence I tried unsuccessfully to rewick an Evod head yesterday, doh perfectly good head just wanted to see if I could do it before buying more, it now just gives a burning taste and there are small burn marks on the plastic grommet so maybe my coil is sitting too low??? Also have an old aquarium sitting in the garage and I'm sure I have some of those white filters in there too. Anyway, all I need to try this out is a nova top (sold all mine as I didn't like the novas), can you buy these separately anywhere? Or has any kind sole got a spare top they would sell me?
