I'd like your recommendations for a couple of 18650's from Fasttech that are Protected but not stupidly long (some are 70mm) or much more than 18mm in diameter please as I may need to use them in my Vamo or EHPRO Zmax telescopic.
As they will be going in a purely mechanical mod they must be protected or safe chemistry (IMR) and preferably with nipples.
TIA

Don't think there is such a beast as a fully protected 18650 under 69/70mm. The majority of IMR's will have a built in temperature fuse which doesn't affect the overall length & will protect against shorts, but to protect against over discharge in a mech mod you need an extra external circuit board (PCB) which is fitted to the end of the battery increasing the length.
What we need is for the Chinese to get on board now they'er producing more TS mech mods and give us some PCB 18500, I know it won't help you in the short term, but it would solve a general problem ???

Safe cell according to pana themselves, but who to trust on these matters? I certainly trust them more than any of the spider, trust, unique and unameit fires I was putting in mods. Apparently they are not making them anymore and the successor is this one which is protected.

Hi Des.
I ordered the Panasonic NCR 18650B -3400mHa -3.7v. `protected` batteries from FASTECH.
Took 10 days from order too arrive, working great in mech mods.
Getting 2 days medium vaping time from them.
Good buy.
jeffc.
p.s. Des they also fit the EHpro-Zmax tele, and Vamo, no probs.
