Hi, I had always wanted to increase the airhole in my AGA T. Did not do that yet coz I never had the right tools. Than I stumbled upon this video where this guy does the same using the cork screw of a swiss army knife. I tried the same and was able to inclrease it without much effort at all. I love my AGA T more now with the increased size of the air hole (Would get a lil time to get used to the airier draw but the increase in vapour is very apparant) I am sharing the video below for any of you to try if you are also holding back coz of lack of tools

Plug the hole with a rivet and start over with a new hole on the other side.

Thankyou Mark.
Before I tried to "repair" my shortcomings, I decided to have a go at wicking it with 2mm wire rope...
2.2ohm coil, 8.4w, lovely jubbly!
Took nearly 2 hours to get it right, but got there in the end and it's vaping like a champ!

Sounds good, The best tip I can give is to get your coil lighting up evenly before getting it wet. If there is juice it will have a cooling effect and hide any issues from you. Youtube tutorials always seem to rush into priming the wick as soon as they can. Patience at this stage is vital.
The easiest is to use a mechanical mod and half discharged battery and quickly pulse the button, building up the length of time it is on and watching for any hot spots. On a regulated device like a Vamo you are working blind to some extent as it will keep shutting down if it shorts, so its a case of watching it like a hawk and just twisting the wick until it sorts itself out.
I do find that if you are producing enough vapour then the air hole needs to grow to let more air in, the vapour density tightens up the draw a little. I have been using a halfway house setup. A straw like mesh wick with a 2mm wire rope down the length, if I want to improve the wicking I can expose a little of the rope at the lower end.

30W is a good target on a 2.2Ohm coil - tried it in an Oddy and the vapour pumped itself out....... I think it was coming out of my ears!

Mark - Getting the coils to glow evenly is what took most of my time if I'm honest..
I'm usually a big fan of the kanthal ribbon but I just could just not get a coil I was happy with.. first wrap with .20 kanthal a1 was nigh on perfect from the get go..
I am starting to look at a few cheap mechanical mods but its a bit of a minefield lol
Think the sigelei 20 is my favoured choice so far.. was going to get a udt-l but not sure if it's too cheap to work well?
And then theres the batteries.. no clue lol!
Robby - I've used a small piece of 400 mesh at the top. Certainly works better than without due to having a flatter surface for the coil to sit on..
Mark - 30w?? Thats some serious power!!
