remember the Vmax I think needs two batteries as drops teh voltage from 6v ..it does not boost it from a single battery. robby will correct me if I am wrong....must dash and help get dinner now.

Yes, brambles it right about that, it takes 2 18350 batteries so looks like you cant use 18650 batteries in it. Please correct me if I am wrong someone.

So it needs 2 batteries at all times? I really can't decide what to get, my head has been turned by the evic but I like the Vamo too and the Vmax is pretty too
If you think you will be interested in the software thing with the evic, go for that. If not I would go for the Stainless Steel Vamo. The Evic isnt as powerful as the Vamo , and the Vamo has more power options that the VMAX (either one 18650, one 18350 or 2 18350s) collie2011
