thanks greigster that reminds me I need to get myself a good little blow torch, never flamed my wick...I just pass the wire through a zippo flame a few times to take the spring out of it and burn off anything left on it from the factory. btw for anyone interested, I got myself some AWG 31 (0.22mm) Kanthal A1 from Ebay AWG 31 Kanthalwith 5 wraps in an Evod I'm getting about 1.5ohm and vapour production and flavour is very nice with the extra coil and slightly lower resistance. 1.5ohm seems to be the sweet spot for me with the Drawtube Smart mech mod.

(make sure you let it cool before touching as it holds the heat for longer than normal silica). Second that, i learned the hard way

Ordered ekowool and they've sent me plain silica instead so time to see what their customer services are like. Also got a few rolls of wire and have finally managed to wrap something less than 2ohms. Making clouds using ribbon wire in an RSST... After a week of some very average vaping I've got flavour and vapour. Woo Hoo. Thought I should report back. I got an apologetic email back first thing on Monday morning saying I could keep the silica that had been sent in error and they would send out the ekowool. Good to their word it arrived this morning. So it's +1 for the Vape Mesh Co. from me. Tonight I'm going to make a little ekowoolie hat for a steel cable wick to see how it compares to wrapping the top with mesh.

I've had 2 orders from these guys in te last few weeks now both where wrong or had items missing , I also had an apologetic email both times apologising but for me paying £2.80 for postage of a small package and wait 6 days for it to be delivered only to be wrong then wait another 5 and the replacements still haven't turned up just isn't good enough for me , I'm highly disapointed with this company

I f i were to order the best wire for micro-coils what would it be? Cheers Depends what your building @aldo Genrally for clearomisers heads 0.20(AWG 32) is a pretty good starting point. if it's for a low ohms build then 0.30(AWG 28) would be my suggestions,

I'm currently using .28 wire 8/9 wraps... I might just order some 0.3 this time, but my biggest question i regarding the type of wire... A1, D or any of the other?
