Played on the keyboard (with improvised music stand) last night and it was pants so lashed out on a basic electric piano (PDP220) from gear4music....it's not the best I know but I only had £200 and most of these (like the fab casio) cost about £300. And I also varnished the coffee table yesterday (4pm) with very cheap varnish that despite having the window open day and night is still not dry... And then you wonder why I'm not sleeping. - just soooooo excited Sorry head is mince with sleep deprivation..if this is inappropriate mods please delete

I miss my keyboards. I used to have a Yamaha PSR-500, a Yamaha DJX and a Roland E35. I can't play at all well but I loved having a tinker now and then. I'd love a Yamaha Tyros 4 but they are over £3,000

Hugs @simate. I know I don't play that often but I really needed a piano... Some sleep - hope I get some more but not optimistic . Got someone to help me put it together (tis 40+kg? Did I say that?) but more peaceful about it now which is good. And loving having the window open from varnishing the coffee table on Monday so think I might make that permanent

Regards Jez This is the model Johanino said about, its more than £300 though so not sure how she got it for £200. Anyway it says "The PDP 220 digital piano features an 88 note weighted and graded hammer action keyboard".

Johanio, I don't know what sheet music you have or need but there is a website called pianofiles. You can request/share sheetmusic. all different genres. Its a good source for sheetmusic. there is a lot more websites out there but some are dodgy. I have a yamaha clavinova 155. don't play anymore, lost my confidence after doing a gig even though I done loads of recitals at college. Have fun and play with feeling. see you on the telly next year on the young pianist of the year.

Hope you don't intend to play when you can't get to sleep though.

got it and friend helped me put it together. Now have lost my K100 so all is not well and I can't sleep. Think piano stool is coming today I got for for £200 cos it was on ebay cos it was a bit bashed and ex showroom but it looks fab . You can barely notice the marks... Don't know how much all those phone calls to gear for music will have cost me but they were nice and so was TNT... There's a german piano for less than £200 on amazon - www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dmi&field-keywords=funKey%20pianoOr else you can get a portable one hope that helps

The only problem I have is if I buy it for her i have to sit through november rain by guns and roses every day for the rest of my life. Thats one long ass song , cheers for the links guys, I will deff be getting her one, Im so jealous of people who can play music, especially when my wife plays violin, piano, guitar and clarinet. All to classical standards, trying to convince her to learn the blues or some good irish folk is the next challenge Regards Jez

Wow! Does AndyB know? He must know how to decipher those dots and the squiggly G thing. ??? I have a Piano, it's old and large....however, it enjoys Chopin and Adele in equal amounts. Cool.

Her adult beginners) is at the binders being spiral bound...tempted to get her classical one too . She writes fab books.... Yeah chykensa look out for pianos on ebay and gear4music.
