Having travelled the well-trodden route of eGo batteries and clearos, then a Mini Nova, then Novas, alongside a Vamo now, I find myself strangely attracted to the simple pleasures of the cartomiser. I use a DCT for my own VC mix, and love the airy vape which is full of flavour. I also have an XL Cartomiser (Boge) which I am using for the same mix at home. WIth payday approaching, I am considering what to buy next, and I have to admit to thinking about a box of XL Cartos, along with a box of pre-punched ones for the DCT. Am I doing things the wrong way around, or have others discovered the humble cartomiser after trying all the newest gear? Andy

I'm a firm believer in the 'If it works for you then it's right'
One of the joys of vaping is experimenting and trying out new set-ups, but I bet the majority of folks here have a set up they keep going back to.
I've just experienced a Busardo style epiphany with a Natural/RSST set-up, but that has not stopped me picking up my Jacvapour cigalike for a quick hassle free vape.
Going backwards would be reaching for an analog
So vape on Andy

Totally agree Andy. I was thinking the same last week. I have minty flavours in the carts and some tobacco with mint in a double coil clearo and that's it for the last month. I find that you need a high PG juice in the carts or they don't work as well. I have heaps of juice in the draw 40-60 and 50-50. Sometimes the simple things are best. So the OH says. Lol. I mix menthal or polo mint in seconds and am out the door with a spare cart in me pocket. Simple.

Mind you, I'd prefer to pull all my nose hairs out with tweezers, than going back to cartos

I'm even more backwards as I still prefer using a cartomiser without a DCT. I find using them in tanks stops them heating up enough for me.

I've normally got a DCT set up on the go Andy, it makes a pleasant change vape wise from the Nova, Evod or a rebuildable. It's not a backwards step to use carto's, rather nice to have all the options we do now.

When all else fails I head back to the humble carto for ease. I had a chest infection recently and they were the only delivery system that I could get any flavour from. I have a drawer of them for when I have a melt down with rebuildables and Novas. The only problem I have with them is having to top them off frequently.

I know cartos can be a bit of a faff to fill and get the hang of, but I feel a bit sorry for the newbies that don't want to try them as the clearos are so much less faff Clearos are less faff sometimes, but can be a bit hit and miss, cartos generally just work

Clearos are less faff sometimes, but can be a bit hit and miss, cartos generally just work I find just that - my clearos either leak, don't fit into the Vamo with enough airspace to function properly, or the atty heads in my Nova isn't the correct ohm rating for a good flavour. At least with a carto, provided it has been filled and allowed to rest correctly, does just work. I'm glad I'm not alone in singing their praises, although I quite understand how some folk find them a faff. Changing the orientation of this thread slightly, where is the best place to buy them in bulk (like boxes of 25 or so)? I pay about £7 for 5 at the moment, but I'm sure some cattle-rustlers on here will know where I can get them cheaper than that! Don't mind waiting for a couple of weeks if they arrive from the other side of the world either! Andy

Mind you, I'd prefer to pull all my nose hairs out with tweezers, than going back to cartos I wouldn't go quite as far as that I don't use them much now, but I got through shed loads when I started. Like everyone says - they just work and they are not bad. The real cure for cartos is to get a Spheroid

I got some cartomisers out of the cupboard the other day - was fed up with leaks, bubbles, gurgling etc with my clearos (though have had a couple of Evods for a few days and, fingers crossed, they're performing well so far)
I like the draw from a carto but find the flavour is not quite as 'pure' as from a clearo. A slight faff to fill, but once you have they just work.
