Today I took delivery of a Vamo and X8 carto tanks. Still waiting for the battery which should be here very soon. I'm comfortable with how to operate the Vamo as I've read the pdf and watched a good youtube vid. I come in need of help!! All I know about cartos is that the bottom screws into the Vamo, there's a little hole at the bottom of it from which juice from the tank enters. That's the extent of my knowledge ??? I'm looking for basic guides on cartos i.e how to prepare them, how to check them, clean them (?), when to replace them. Also any do's and don'ts - however basic they may seem! Also it may sound silly, but also how to vape with them. I ask this because with my ego/CE5 kit, I take 3 draws then put it down to allow the wick to soak up juice. Do you do anything similar with cartos? From watching reviews of anything to do with the X8, it seems that the reviewers assume people watching know what they're doing. They probably hadn't figured me as one of their viewers. Sorry for so many questions but any advice or links to simple guides would be fantastic. I'm a bit flaked out now so hope to wake up to a reply or two in the morning Goodnight all

As above but with the X8 after you have primed the carto you fill the tank with a needle top bottle or syringe through the small hole in the top cap, and fill it very slowly so you don't push too much are into it and flood the carto. Leave to settle and as with most carto tanks the second filling always seems to be the best imo

Use a 'vase' shaped drip tip (or similar) on top, so no slippage that way and the bottom of the tank is flush with the top of your mod/battery so no need for the bottom screw

+1 for karma's comment. That's all I did. The bottom screw is just a snagging point

Thanks all I was planning to use the supplied drip tips as they look quite nice. Do you not need the bottom screw when you're taking the tank and carto off the device? If I try and do that without the screw, the tank comes off leaving the carto still screwed onto the Vamo. If tha tank had any juice in it, it would spill out. Also, what's a good way to prime a carto? Also, have got my Boge cartos. They don't have any holes in them. Do I need to punch some in?

Yes, you need to punch a hole in the carto lementalDo you have a carto punch? I've never really had a problem getting a tank off a battery. I think a lot of my drip tips are a snug fit in the carto so if I hold onto that the carto screws out

Could you please recommend one and how to punch? I've just tried unscrewing the X8 by holding onto the drip tip and it does unscrew. I was holding the tank to unscrew before. Doh! When I put the drip tip back on and screw everything back in, the drip tip does keep revolving rather than stopping when the screw is tight. I'm assuming this is normal.
