Vaping in the pub

Hi peeps,


Went out round my local town last night .... don't go out much these days, too lazy lol We really are out in the sticks here, ``it's a local village for local people'' kinda thing 

But I was amazed to see two different groups of people standing in the pub vaping away !!! Is this common these days, I have never seen it before, in fact I didn't know vaping existed till last week ..... am I the last to cotton on here or what? lol


Just wondered if anyone else had seen people vaping in any pubs/restaurants/other public places?

Haven't seen anybody around here vaping. I got told to stop "smoking that thing" in one of the large chain pubs. I was about to put up an argument but in all honesty they can just refuse to serve me so stopped.

It will get to a point where there's them as do and them as don't , and I know which ones will have the most customers in.

I vape quite happily in my local pub, I believe there are one or two other vapers but we haven't been in at the same time yet. Dave

We have not had any problems with vaping in pubs so far, even vaped in the alton towers hotel, restaurant an bar and that is the only place we have seen other vapers.

In fact I think there will be a lot of pubs that are thankfull of vaping.

Yes you may be right there mybad. To be honest I would expect to start seeing signs here and there soon, no vaping allowed ! I would respect anyone's wishes if they didn't like the idea of course but nobody batted an eyelid last night including the staff and landlords, it certainly felt weird sat at the bar tooting away lol and I didn't miss the cigs one bit
......and after my mate went out for his cigs .... I suddenly realised why people on here call them stinkies .... and Holy cow I have smelt like that for 35 years

the licensed premises may well be the battle field in for or against ecigs full stop as they are the most public shared dwellings for social recreation. ??

I'm not a regular pub goer and don't have a 'local'. I was out in a busy city last weekend and in the 2 pubs I went in nobody was vaping - with cigalikes or other kits, if somebody else had been I would have got mine out. I wouldn't want to be the only one vaping and am the sort of person that would hate to be challenged.

Have me local hostelry's well trained - a couple of years ago a guy went up to the bar to complain i was smoking - the staff turned round and in chorus chimed back, "He's not smoking, He's Vaping!"

At this point in time we still have to be careful not to shove it down non smokers thoughts sort of speak whilst in a pub etc
only the other week I was in a pub happily vaping away when some guy spotted me and was curious as to wanting to have a go on my ecig i.e Vamo, he gave the nod of approval and liked it , BUT, about an hour later he was a little more intoxicated and thought it ok to light a fag up inside as no one would know the difference between ( visually seeing ) vapor in the air or smoke from a fag, now this is the sort of thing that WOULD put a fast end to ecigs being used inside pubs.

At Christmas we went out for our carp fishing syndicate bash, went to a local curry house and asked them if they minded if we vape (there are two of us that do) and they were cool with it. Made me smile when the smokers had to go out in the cold for their fix and there is me and my buddy tooting away in the warm. I have to say it felt a bit weird though, it's been years since I had a nic fix inside!
