Ian has had a bit of a struggle finding a vaping friendly bar in the Carlisle area for our Mini Meet.
The first one he had in mind has just recently changed it's policy so now does not allow vaping.

Ian has had a bit of a struggle finding a vaping friendly bar in the Carlisle area for our Mini Meet. The first one he had in mind has just recently changed it's policy so now does not allow vaping. I must admit that i did have a struggle Karma, but i noticed alot of pubs that have made it company policy to ban vaping on the premises are the big chains.I have happily vaped in the Apple Tree for months but then out of the blue they decided to ban vaping due to complaints from other customers.Even the manageress said it's stupid and she didn't mind vaping in the pub,but it had been passed down from head office so she had no choice but to bring the ban into force. It's a John Barass pub and i also had the same response from Wetherspoons Best thing i did was to go to the Museum who are not in any chain, the manager said it's fine and other people vape there aswell. It seems to me that you get a much better response from a pub not linked to a chain, like lobey said, they are just glad of the extra business and getting punters back into the pub to keep it going. Big chains don't give a damn as they have a much higher turnover so they go by the book even when they are misinformed or wrong.

Over 12,000 pubs have closed in the UK since the Smoking Ban was introduced. Now I am not saying that all of these closed because people who smoke no longer went to the pub, but a significant number did stop going and a significant number of pubs were directly affected because of the Smoking Ban. Now that Vaping is allowed in pubs, any pub who is struggling will welcome the chance to get their ex-customers back through the doors. Couldn't agree more. I have not set foot in a pub since the smoking ban and I was always in the pub What a missed opportunity for them if they all ban vaping

That answers that question.
Been wondering about vaping and pubs as I haven't been home since the smoking ban came in.
Not sure why I was interested as I was more than likely fishing in my free time lol

You are allowed to Vape while fishing in the UK.
Don't know about Orlando though. They do have some strange laws over there!

Only place I've e we been asked to stop. Vaping is the pub. I've vaped in shops. The doctors. My mum was in hospital for basically 6 months. I vaped every day, even converted a few nurses from smoking.
Women couldn't explain why I wasn't allowed to vape in the pub as she knew it wasn't smoking. But still it wasn't allowed.
