Hi TomRomelee's list is spot on as to what you will need. My own personal opinion, if I didn't mind waiting a couple of weeks I would probably go for the Vamo, body only, from one of the Chinese suppliers, but would buy my batteries and charger from respected UK suppliers. I'm not very electonically minded, so can't really explain why that would be my choice, but as I said, just my opinion

Doesn't all this shit come from china anyway It does! that's why I would happily buy the Vamo directly from China! Although the batteries and chargers all come from China too, I prefer to put my trust in a couple of UK vendor's quality control procedures

Doesn't all this shit come from china anyway Yes including 99% of the hardware you are buying from UK Vaper sites, just because your buying from a UK site doesn't make the goods any better and at 30-40% cheaper I can live with the outside chance it will break and I will have to wait a few weeks for a replacement.

It all comes from China anyway. I have as good as no money so will buy direct as it were. Even if I could afford to pay inflated UK prices I would still buy from China because I like to make savings.
I still haven't heard of Panasonic batteries being copied so I see no issue with buying those from FastTech which are a fantastic company with excellent prices and excellent communications whether it be pre-sales questions or aftersales.
Its all down to the individual, if you have the money to pay high UK prices then that's fine if you're happy to do so. If you cba with sending things back or are not prepared to take a possible loss regarding China or Singapore in FastTechs case then that is also fine. If you can't be bothered to wait for things to be delivered then that's also fine but don't put buying from China/Singapore down though or scaremonger just because you don't like the idea of it or have had a bad experience, everyone knows the possible risks involved, there are thousands of happy customers, me included.

First of all, to anyone that has read my posts as being ar$ey that is just total bollox mate, sorry. I know how long they last and I know a genuine Panasonic battery when I see it brand new and in totally pristine condition. I'm not saying that you're wrong Robby. If this is how it comes across I sincerely apologise! If you can't be bothered to wait for things to be delivered then that's also fine but don't put buying from China/Singapore down though or scaremonger just because you don't like the idea of it or have had a bad experience, everyone knows the possible risks involved, there are thousands of happy customers, me included. As I said before, I have had quite good experiences myself so far with items shipped from the far east (cree headtorches being the latest). I'm not spreading rumours to frighten people from buying from these companies, My opinion means nothing in the grand scheme of things!! I think you have got me wrong.. If i can save a few pennies, then I'm not so stupid that I will totally ignore it! This is where too much research can be a bad thing.. I've read so many forums and I'm guilty of paying more attention to the bad stuff as opposed to the good stuff... To date, I've only read one bad thing about the Fasttech Vamo, and that was a burr was present in the battery tube which prevented from it firing.. Simple fix granted, but even still! The thing I'm worried about most is the supposed difference in the screen that's used.. There was one guy on another forum that already had a chrome vamo sourced from the uk. He then ordered a Vamos from fasttech and said that the screen is not the same.. it's not as bright as the screen in his chrome Vamo.. If someone could confirm that the screen is indeed just as bright as it should be, then I would have no issue whatsoever ordering from them.. It's not that I can't be bothered to wait for it to arrive! The fact that I could order two for the same price as one from the uk really does appeal to me!!!!!
