The switch I replaced it wit is much the same as the one that was on it. I'm still on the lookout too for a better switch that will fit. I have a few spares if you want one.. The switch itself slides into a little carrier "sled" that holds it all in place and is easy enough to replace. I've trawled a few sites but can't find a decent switch that will fit in that hole unless it's drilled out wich is something I might try at a later date The switch that's in it is only rated at 50ma, so are the replacement one's, not found anything higher rated of a similar design. Going to get a few of these in case I melt a few whilst soldering, 10 for £1.34 delivered. The legs on the existing switch had been cut off flush with the plastic housing which is why I ended up mashing it up when trying to solder on thicker wiring.

Buy a new UDT for £12 ? Nah because the threads will probably die just the same which is a fairly common problem with them. Its got a nice new gold coloured 510 connector which will last ages. It just needs some guts inside it then it'll be better than new

Those look like the same ones I used and much the same as the original too, except there was a little metal cap glued on the original... Oh well, I guess if you don't mind changing them ever so often it's not so bad When I replaced the connector in mine, my colleague was doing some gold plating so he plated the head piece of the mod.. So I feel like I'm obliged to keep improving it! J

I pulled the metal cap off the old switch ready for the new one. I'll be upgrading the wire too, the wire I was going to use is way to heavy duty though and wouldn't bend at all when I was trying to reassemble it hence the tiiiiiiiiny bit of tab the switch did have snapping off of one side.
A gold plated head eh, that's going a bit far on such a cheapo mod lol.
