Sometimes people take out loans that they can afford at the time and then their circumstances change, illness, redundancy etc, those people don't deserve to be hounded in their own home. Someone who has no need for a tv licence doesn't deserve to be hounded either. These 'inspectors' have no right of entry, they'll still try it on though. I know a lot of people who don't have a tv or who only have it to watch DVD's on, these 'inspectors' seem to find it very hard to believe that people can live without tv, that's some very narrow minded thinking really. Sent from my Nexus 7 using proboards If they took out a loan then they couldnt afford the product. If you can not afford to pay cash for something then you can not afford it, no income is guaranteed so no-one should live beyond their means, pay cash or save up until you can pay cash should be the way. Not business related as that is different, but general living if you can't afford it do without, if you pay by credit or loans you should pay as and when required. I want a Ferrari, but I can't afford one so I ain't got one. Personally I agree with the sentiment of what you say sammy13. I work hard and full time, as a single parent in a stressful job and I live within the means that I have. For that reason, I don't have a mortgage and drive a crappy old car that costs me a fortune to run and keep repaired. It's my choice not to gamble on a mortgage when I don't have the security of knowing I will have a job or the health to work in ten years' time. However, I think you seriously need to re-think what would happen to us all if everyone took your advice, or followed my example. No mortgages, no car loans, no home improvement or business loans? No holiday loans even? Then you can wave goodbye to the few industries and businesses that still exist. I'm not really sure what your point is by knocking people who do use banks to try to improve their lot in life. Isn't that what they are supposed to be for? And regarding the knobs that come round to my house and send me letters insisting I have a TV, when I haven't had one for years, and the threatening posters they finance on public billboards, assuming that EVeryonE MUsT SUreLY have a TV in this day and age... ell to be honest, they can go and jump because I am busy enough keepinfg myself and my family alive and well, within my means, to be bothered with them.

I have no issue with helping to pay for the BBC. I'd almost be happy to pay for a license even though I have no need for one. I like the fact that they don't use commercials to pay for their programming. What I really object to is the tactics used by subcontracted bully boy Privateers who have only one agenda... to increase their profits by collecting fees by any means they can, including harrassment, prosecution, door to door questioning etc. In the end, those of you who DO pay the license are also paying for their mistakes, when the BBC has to settle cases of harrassment brought against them because of their contractor's negligence. They are NOT the BBC and are NOT interested in your rights, nor in protecting a good old British tradition of broadcasting. I'm quite amazed to see this classified by someone as a "tin foil hat" issue.... but that's maybe a discussion for another day

I guess things must have changed then, it always used to be that the licence was for OWNING (or renting) equipment CAPABLE of recieving television broadcasts, the watching side of it didn't matter at all, if you had equipment CAPABLE of recieving then you HAD to have a licence This used to be the case until it became possible to watch "TV" on almost any device you wanted to. At first they tried to push the idea that anyone with a smart phone or computer with internet access had to have a TV license, but that quickly became absurd. Sites like BBC i-player will now ask you to confirm if you have a TV license if you wish to stream live programming, otherwise it is not required by law. I understand the OP's confusion on this as the Licensing people have been deliberately vague for years and have tried to scare people, through various bullying tactics, junk mail and poster campaigns into paying for TV licenses that they may not be required to have. I had a "visit" earlier this year, having not had a TV for many years and was threatened with a fine for owning a 5' projector screen that I use to watch movies... Now, I could just as easily use a 5' white curtain to project onto, neither of these requires a license. I would agree with greendollar on this, don't give them any information except a solid confirmation that you do not stream live programming. Not that I disagree with the license, but I totally disagree with the tactics this company (if it is Capita?) uses to frighten people into paying unnecessarily.

Their bully boy tactics really anger me. If you have no TV or means of watching live TV, you do not need a license. They seem to send out those letters as a fishing exercise.

I tried the Nangka concentrate some time ago after reading reviews. Now, I'm no expert mixer, so it may have gone wrong, but the result was absolutely horrible. The only thing I could think of when I went anywhere near it was old beer mats that had been soaked in beer the night before and then left in the urinal. As I say, it might have been something I did wrong, or it may be an aquired taste, but I found it repulsive.

Wahoooooooooooo. .I'm going to Dublin mid May for a few days. Although I've been a number of times before, I thought I'd see if any of you wonderful folks have any new ideas of where I could go during the day. I think I've been to every imaginable tourist site and one or two more besides. Maybe somewhere of interest that can get on a bus or train to ? Thanks in advance. Belfast Obviously!

I'm mistaken then if the fuse is in the base. I thought it was integrated into the positive post in the top cap but mayeb the design has changed or I imagined that completely. It's been a while since I owned a G16 and I'm sure there was no fuse in the base back then... Also I think the fuse only causes problem if you want to vape at higher watts .. otherwise it's a perfectly useful addition.. I'm not sure of the cut-off point
