Even though the quote maybe a hoax that is the Australian way of thinking in general, although the aborigine issue often gets overlooked. Don't want to go there as off topic. When you become a citizen you have to pledge allegiance and uphold THEIR values. I think the same should apply here. If you want to be British you must pledge to live by our laws. That does not include butchering people in public!! Anyone currently in the country has to abide by our laws, that's what laws are for. These deluded madmen chose to break them, just like anyone else could, British or otherwise. For info, these are our current citizenship requirements, and you can take the test here and see if you could also score the necessary 75% to be accepted. Extremists are extremists, mad is mad, violence breeds violence, religion and race are an excuse. Almost every organisation ever made by humans throughout the world and history has committed atrocities in its name. I don't want a part in any of it, whichever side of the line, whichever god, whichever race, gender, creed, belief or ideology. Violence and hatred whilst understandable are not the answer, they are a downward spiral. I know all about the citizenship test Jen Mr Dolly will be taking it next year. Suffice to say, I failed it miserably answering practice test questions. Thankfully they are changing them I was told as the questions are ridiculous.

Or this (which I think is brilliant and is also Australian)? I'm not saying the status quo is ideal, but I don't think it ever will or could be. If you want to change things, there are proper channels for that, violence isn't one of them and hatred is the root cause of it anyway. Personally, I feel for the victim and his family and friends more than I could ever want to see violence done to the perpetrators. They should be subject to our justice system, locked up and forgotten about, as they deserve.

Lets keep it on subject shall we. A young man who serves in our armed forces has been killed in a horrific way, on our streets, by 2 men obviously out of their mind.
Lets be respectful of his memory and not come down to these animals levels, by lumping large elements of peoples together, as they wanted.

I remember one ridiculous question was : what does the average British child get as pocket money per week? wTF? The point about laws I was making referred to the perpetrator himself bellowing on camera about it all being our governments fault blah blah blah and I was also linking my comments to the elements of sharia laws which DO allow this barbarism. Point being, if you are of this ilk and believe these things to be acceptable dont live in Britain!! Live somewhere that agrees with you.

@ Jen if a Sikh does not have to wear a crash helmet, why should I be made to wear one ? you said they have to abide by our laws, I pointed out not necessarily so I not once said I condone violence I actually agree wholeheartedly that religion should not be given special privileges. But this also means abolishing faith-based schools and faith-based privileges across the country in all kinds of organisations, such as enforcing equal gender rights in faith organisations and getting rid of bishops in the House of Lords. I'm totally up for a full separation of religion and state, not a lot of others are, though. Like you say, I don't think religion should have it both ways. It's actually one rule for them, for them, for them and them and them when it comes to religion. The violence thing is aimed at an awful lot of sentiments I'm seeing here and elsewhere and a continuation of my original point, not you personally.

From Facebook......
This land was built with blood & tears, over the past 2.000 years. The romans came we saw them off, Hitler tried twice do you remember their loss. Its time we stood shoulder to shoulder with guns or knives or even a boulder. This lad signed for Queen & Country he wore his uniform with pride, his death wasn't how he would have liked to have died. Our hearts & thoughts go out to his distraught family. Lets take this jihad war to them, He has not died in vain, His death will be avenged. Pass this on to as many people as you want, let the government know we don't want these SCUM in our Country. God Bless England & that young Soldier.

Whilst a kill-shot would seem like perfect justice and would save the taxpayer the cost of hospital treatment, a trial and imprisonment I have my own, possibly warped, take on this. If these are Islamists, their ultimate goal is martyrdom, immediate entry to heaven and the promise of 72 virgins. By keeping them alive we not only gain potentially valuable intelligence but we deny these bastards their 'reward'. Off topic a tad I know, but any idea where these might be hiding out?........ there here Chris lol web.orange.co.uk/article/quirkies/Virginity_auction_becomes_reality_TV_showeven though the Quote of what supposedly is written by the Aussie PM i do agree its what everyone n there country wants but again falls on deaf PC ears, yet were reminded on holidays to follow laws etc while i also agree what ever religion you preach it is your right to,what annoys me most is that the muslim communities, know who and where these Extremists are ,but keep quite,it also turns out they knew about these 2[security people yet did nothing] I really feel for this soldiers family friends and comrades, especially that they have all seen what happened on TV,not knowing till now, there is going to be a lot of ill feeling around, lest trust of innocent ,but exactly who is to blame ,i am sorry i lay this all on the Government and towards the EU, as a Polish girl said to me what country on this earth allows another Country to be built within in it?? why does the UK allow it,could have been there all night explaining why

Lets be respectful of his memory and not come down to these animals levels, by lumping large elements of peoples together, as they wanted. I do agree that we should not come down to these animal levels but as you had mentioned these soldiers were killed in our streets. The main reason these pigs do this is because they know that they can hide behind the democratic laws in this country and I am sure there would be some bloody lawyer ready to free these also from Jails. I don't want to take the name of any countries or religion here but a friend of mine who works with the council in London has told me lots of creepy tales. If half what he has told is true London is slowly turning to an extremist pro region and we have nip it from the bud. I cannot believe I am saying this but we have to adopt the stance of Australia and Israel against the extremists if we want the innocent to survive without being exposed to horror like these on the streets.

Sadly, I see serious trouble brewing in this country pretty soon. What with the economic situation, cutbacks, banking scandals and now this. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is the final straw.
