Just saw it on the news again. What struck me as totally insane were the women casually walking up to and pushing past this maniac in a very casual unworried manner!! Surely they could see he was covered in blood and holding the machete and knife?

I was born and raised near London, spent most of my working life in the central areas, but I would never walk up and physically push past someone in that instant. Plain mad!!

My thoughts are with this poor lads family. But I do believe this is the excuse certain factions have been looking for to create trouble. I also feel sorry for all the Muslims who will be abused because of this. All religions should teach tolerance for others beliefs. It's not only religion that breeds extremism.

Got sky news on now. Things have escalated tonight. Seems to have been a load of trouble with mobs including the EDL turning up in numbers. Fighting has broke out.

to be honest i personally think that any one proven to have extremist views and are caught practicing or being at any rally ,if they have at any point came to Britain, on a imigrant status,then there human right rules & British citizen ship if held are all revoked,no appeal and sent back Country of Origin and if the EU wants to kick a fuss up over it then send them to there Country instead as they passed through it to get here....

Religion , it causes nothing but problems everywhere, always has and always will.

I feel sick to the pit of my stomach because of this, it makes me feel ashamed to be a human being. It also p**ses me right off that nothing will come of this and that the poor man died for nothing. It upsets me that they waste valuable nhs resources on extremists, personally I would have pissed on them while they bled out.

I served several tours in Northern Ireland in the eighties and have seen many atrocities not unlike this, but to stand around and demand publicity whilst waiting for the police to arrive, then charging the police knowing they would be shot, beggars belief in my opinion.
