Probably best that I don't comment on this thread, as I may say something that will upset the politically "uncorrect"........Suffice to say, that words actually fail me.....R.I.P. the poor innocent soul who lost his life to these cowardly scum & thoughts to his family & his colleagues who were oblivious to what was happening on their doorstep & were unable to protect their comrade from these animals. The time has come to sit up & take notice of the real world & action needs to be taken........

I commented on my thoughts for the innocent life cowardly taken & have found it extremely difficult to refrain from going further. This is not the place, unfortunately, to view what I & millions of British citizens must be feeling today..............& this thread, I am sure, was started out of respect for that young soldier & I hope it doesn't escalate into something that will force the thread to be 'closed'......

Wholeheartedly agree with the post above and I was an Australian immigrant. Became a citizen there in 2007.
Of course there were things that peed me off about them. But I chose to live there and had to accept it. The same should apply here. I am happy for anyone to have whatever religion they choose. Makes no difference to me as I am agnostic. But you live, adapt and integrate into your new country not demand we changed to accommodate THEM.
Having experienced being a foreigner in another country, I find it incredible that some expect the host land to adapt to them instead of the other way round.

When you become a citizen you have to pledge allegiance and uphold THEIR values.

I think the same should apply here. If you want to be British you must pledge to live by our laws. That does not include butchering people in public!!

Anyone currently in the country has to abide by our laws, that's what laws are for. These deluded madmen chose to break them, just like anyone else could, British or otherwise.

For info, these are our current citizenship requirements, and you can take the test here and see if you could also score the necessary 75% to be accepted.

Extremists are extremists, mad is mad, violence breeds violence, religion and race are an excuse. Almost every organisation ever made by humans throughout the world and history has committed atrocities in its name. I don't want a part in any of it, whichever side of the line, whichever god, whichever race, gender, creed, belief or ideology. Violence and hatred whilst understandable are not the answer, they are a downward spiral.
