Ok I am so close to pulling the trigger on an eVic (my first MOD) but I want one last and final comparison. If we can disregard the price, what is better? Is the Vamo a better build? Or is just just that the evic 'feels' cheap because it's not big and heavy? The eVic looks sexier, but what about usability, I don't need the more power from the Vamo as I only have a standard ego at the moment. Are the features on the eVic mainly gimmicks, or are they actually usable? Comments, answers and comparisons greatly appreciated

I had a Vamo first then I got an eVic The Vamo has good power and is a heavy and solid mod The eVic is cheap feel but is nice. The eVic has lots of functions, which I enjoyed, told me the time, the date, how many puffs and so on.... But finally I sold it as I needed the power of the Vamo for my tanks.. But finally I sold my Vamo and now use the iTaste SVD as my main device: www.innokin.com/itaste-svd-express-kit.htmlAnd the iTaste MVP as my second device www.innokin.com/itaste-mvp-iClear30-kit.htmlI love the quality that Innokin has and I think I will stick with them and their devices from now on.....

The Evic is great, my Vamo is now resigned to storage. It does feel cheap compared so saving up for a better casing. Although by the time I have done that I could have bought 5 Vamo's. Is the Evic worth 5 Vamo's? Not likely! Boys (and girls) and their toys hey

Got to be the evic for me. Seems to give a lot smoother vape than the vamo. It is a lot lighter. Smaller in length. Great screen. Great gizmos amd you can update it via download which to me is pretty dam impressive. The tubes that come with it are ok but grab a black, white or silver tube set www.ukecigcabin.com/product/evic-battery-casing and it feels and looks a lot better. This is random but i am finding my juice seems to go further using a nova and evic than it does in nova on a vamo. Vamo is a great workhorse and would not be without mine for work that is for sure. I'd go for a VV/VW device that has a telescopic function, purely because it gives you more options with a better build quality than a Vamo. . . something like the EHPRO or a TZmax if you're not bothered by the extra features the Evic has Matt.

The only reason I would go for the Evic now is for the programmable firing wattages. But that's not worth it IMO. I would go with the SVD too matey. VW and VV, Stainless Steel and Innokin make some brill quality devices. Vamos are so cheap now, pick one up as well Regards Jez

I would have to agree with perps and say a telescopic Zmax, since reserving mine in the group buy I've hardly been able to put it down.

I have had the Vamo and i much prefer the eVic, the programmable firing wattage's is the game changer for me and the options out there if need be for different battery tubes is much more than the Vamo. Plus i ain't come across one clearomizer or dct that does not work with it....i am quite the opposite when it came down to weight, the Vamo for me is too heavy, if i want to loose weight i can go to the gym for that

If we can disregard the price, what is better? Is the Vamo a better build? Or is just just that the evic 'feels' cheap because it's not big and heavy? Yes the evic seems cheap because it is light, but that's only down to the tubes if you get the kit and don't buy your own tube. I would say, that the evic is made to a superior quality and it's going to last longer than a Vamo and we'[ve already seen plenty of Vamos giving up life for one reason or another. However, if I was going fishing, or doing something, where I wanted something a little more robust, I wouldn't take the evic I'm sure it would be fine, but that large plastic window is to open to damage to me. A big heavy metal cheap mod is what you need. A Vamo sounds about right

Not an easy question to answer, at least for me. I own a Vamo, a Tesla and now an eVic. All perform wonderfully and do the job required. The Vamo is solid but you definitely want the SS version as the chrome ones have crap finish that scratches easily. The controls are simple and quick to get used to. The only issue I've had with it is the press section of the tube coming loose and having to be banged back on. Price for price definitely one of the best mods you can get at the moment I think. The eVic I only got this week but is an excellent device. I got the black tube kit for it which feels much better than the original although I think part of that is down to the finish rather than base materials. The extra controls are useful if you are looking for them but otherwise unneeded. I have noticed already though that the eVic is far better at controlling the wattage. Also I used to use Vamo/Tesla at 9W but found the eVic only needs to be at 8W for the same end experience for me, down to the better power control I would think. The profile controls mean you can start the atty high briefly to "pre-heat" and drop to your preferred level to get a good hit. Another thing noted already is with an identical panasonic 2250mAh battery I get about and hour more vaping (at the same power level) at least with the eVic than the Vamo. So I'm afraid, as usual in vaping, its all down to personal preference and experience. All in all if its your first big mod I'd say an SS Vamo is a solid buy. One thing to note is waiting for Joyetech to release the easy eVic head and for it to appear over here as you might be able to buy peoples unused original bodies, or a body kit and get the simple head to make a simple eVic. The simple head can only be programmed from a computer but is much cheaper. When they arrive I will probably get one of them to make a backup eVic.

I do think the number of posts about issues with the Vamo are largely due to the huge number out there - they really did take the market by storm, sellers couldn't get enough to meet demand. I think that's partly why they are now so cheap, supply side was pushed to increase production so much that it has now gone the other way.
I would suggest as a relatively new user that the Vamo would be the better choice - it has more than enough features to get your head around - the Evic is higher on the learning curve and you may miss out on fully grasping some of its functions without some previous experience to build upon.

That is the most I have spent ln vaping equipment in one go, and just under half of my (now) vaping total. I just hope I made the right choice Oh one last thing, it is safe to chargef the evic through the usb port isnt it? Or would an external charger be better? If its fine to use I can't afford to buy one just for the sake of it lol.

I would say it fine to charge it through the USB, I'm sure a decent charger would be slightly better for the battery and might be safer, I don't know on the safety bit, just guessing.

Should be fine through the USB cable but will be really slow (probably at least 7 hours from flat).
Not a problem though as you can use it while plugged in and save for a good charger in the future.
