Hello, almost total newbie, please help me - what to buy??

Fiddles, I think the issue with PP is because my card which I use through Paypal is due to expire next month. It won't accept the card any longer (even though card is still in date and works everywhere else). As I don't use credit and only have the one debit card, I think I will just need to wait till my replacement comes through the post and then link that one. Sorry to hear about your troubles with Paypal, it's not the first time I've heard of these sorts of shenanigans on their part

Anyway, I'm looking at the kit from Vapeland - it seems very good value. The blurb says this:
"PLEASE NOTE!!
When you receive your kit, please unscrew all parts of the CE5 and make sure everything is screwed in tight before filling with liquid, especially the head within the clearomizer, to prevent any initial leaks and to prolong the life of the clearomizer."

- I probably sound a right dafty, but is this easy to do?

on serious note though just google paypal closed my account, thousands of results they close account and keep any money in account for 6 months it has happened to so many, my advice to anyone is don't keep money in paypal transfer it asap

We do fiddles. As soon as it goes in it either gets taken straight out or spent lol

The Paradise Vape deal that Roscopecotrain linked to looks very good to me. If you've got a wall plug that takes a usb plug for a knidle or iphone (or anything else probably) it will work.

Yes USB is a standard 
Phone, Kindle etc all work

We have wall / USB adaptors that came with the Skycigs, so should be fine!

The best advice you can be given as a newbie is this (pertaining to hardware)

Buy second hand to try out, buy it only from a long standing member of the forum who has a good reputation, that way you cant go wrong, ask them every question you can think of about the kit.

The downside with cheap chinese purchases is the distance, the time it takes to get here, and the fact that 'sods law' will kick in any YOURS will be the one parcel examined by HMRC that day, which tends to make a cheap buy a tad more expensive.

IMO

(oh yeah that and the fact that the standard "I got it today & dont like it" line that people trot out is to hide the fact they are getting them in cheap themselves and are disguising the fact that they are actually 'covert' dealers)

NOTE: I'm not saying thats the case in this forum but if I had a quid for every time I saw that I'd not need to buy lottery tickets!

FYI Purchases under £15 value are exempt from import duty & VAT.

So keeping foreign purchases under $23 (roughly) INCLUDING P&P you know you'll have nothing extra to pay.

You could even split larger orders from abroad and sleep soundly.

Well, my new bank card just arrived right after my last reply

Have ordered the little blister pack as recommended by roscopecotrain (thank you!), can't go wrong at that price - if nothing else it'll tide me over till payday, and is far cheaper than buying endless Skycig cartridges. Am sure I will be back on here - lovely friendly forum!

However, lets be fair, the other point I made about the number of people on forums selling hardware they 'just got today / yesterday' etc is pretty staggering really
