Building a mod holder, hole sizes

If you've built a mod holder, which only has one hole to hold the mod, ie no support above it. What size holes do you use?

Mine are 25mm diameter by 25mm deep Womble. It's enough to stop them falling over

I should add that's 25mm diameter for 18xxx mods, smaller for ego-style obviously

Thanks Oneday, I tried one 25mm hole in an experimental bit of wood and it seemed a bit too big and wobbly. but I didn't use a decent drill bit tbh, or drill, so there must have been some wobble. I'll try again.

A lot of mods are made from 7/8 pipe 22.225mm if that helps.

Ideally womble, it's better to make the holder deep enough if it hasn't got support....I make both, but for the ones without support, I design them as in the pic.

15mm for the ego battery OneDay.
