I went into the kitchen to make lunch. Looked out the window to see five absolutely gorgeous little fox cubs leaping all over the place on my lawn. Mum was sat to one side proud as a peacock watching them play. I got my disability chair I use in the kitchen and crouched down just peeping over the window sill. Was one of the most beautiful 15 mins I have spent for a long time. Typical though. I gave MR Dolly my iPhone this morning as his battery wasnt charged. I am sooo frustrated I couldn't video it. I hope mum brings them back to play tomorrow. It was lovely to watch.

PMSL I told you the other day I can't load it. You will have to sing it live at the meet! Yes, the bubbles were a wonderful sight. I so hope mum brings them back when I have my phone so I can get it on video. They were leaping about like lambs chasing butterflies and wrestling each other. I could have sat there all day. I think mum has taken them home for their afternoon nap.

Foxes killed my daughters rabbit. I had to beat them off her with a stick, but she died in my arms. R.I.P Dandelion Sorry to say I'm with @spikeyfridge on this one, but they are beautiful creatures. Positive note; our Pipistrelle Bat Colony returned for the nursing season. They roost in the tiles on the front of my house, I'll see if I can get some night shots of "launch time". www.bio.bris.ac.uk/research/bats/britishbats/batpages/commonpipi.htm

We are all different. Some people like snakes for gods sake!
I love my "pet" fox. She has lived out the back of our garden on the edge of the woods ever since we moved here. I think that's why she bought the babies over as she trusts me. I am certain she knew I was watching. Nature is a truly beautiful thing, but at times incredibly cruel. Look at your cat Smokey with the pigeon Wilf. Animals do what they have to do and sometimes it isn't pleasant.

Can't you just enjoy someone getting a kick out of seeing baby animals playing in her garden?

I have foxes who come through my garden on a night time, they have lived in the quarry beside us for years, but I also have six little (and I mean little) dogs and I'm terrified they will hurt them!!

How lovely, Dolly! As they were happily playing, feeling safe, they could very well return.

I can understand that Dawnie. I have a little dog and three cats. The dog yaps at the fox who totally ignores her and more than once at night time i have caught one of my cats Minky playing with the fox! She was slapping it around the face one night whilst sat on a garden chair! jess I really do hope she brings them back tomorrow as my 5yr old grand daughter is staying tonight. It is teacher training day, so fingers crossed. Would love her to see them. Off to pick her up now. Been talked into a visit to MCdonalds....bleugggghh

oh i think they are very handsome creatures and are magnificent to watch in the right environment. my house backs onto woods and we have foxes and badgers and even deer living there.
my regular visitor was a mangy bedraggled specimen. i just think they are fearless, selfish and wasteful predators.

Totally agree Dolly, nature is nature. Foxes are beautiful creatures, I just don't like them. The mum brought her babies to 'play' with Dandelion.
No offence or detriment to your playful scene intended, and I apologise for upsetting you if I have.

I love the foxes and wouldn't hurt them, chances are they would not harm my dogs, but you do hear some bad stories and unfortunately it's those that stick in your mind.
But I can imagine the pleasure from watching the little ones romping about, hope she brings them back for you to watch growing up, you'll have to post a video.
