A nice racist walk in the city.
So it looks like my favourite non specific religious extremist group has managed a quick whip round to go and march against anything they don’t seem to agree with. The English Defence League (EDL) has always mystified me. It’s the name. Not quite getting it. It’s only England that matters? Isn’t that being a bit ignorant of the other principalities that dwell on other sides of you? I mean I don’t want to fan the flames or anything but this is a little likes the extremist groups seen in Palestine and on the Gaza strip. Some of the people who suffer in that struggle come here to escape people just like the EDL... I digress.


Next is Defence... defending what? The young man who lost his life to two members of an extremist group defended this county. I for one am against the war as a whole but I have a lot of respect for the men and women who risk life for a belief that the country can be made better. But this man was killed by two men from a group that hated the army for what they believed was a travesty against the country. Those two idiots were ignorant. I am starting to see some subtle similarities between the two groups. EDL members have been convicted of murder and attacks on other members of society.


Finally is the word league. Now I have a theory on this one. I think somewhere at the top there is a man with NO hair who has gathered a load of violent idiots together to fight his cause for whatever sociopathic reasons.

Now I know another group whose members usually have long beards and lots of hair. They were brought together by a man who brainwashed them into doing what he said was right. He did this by using their religion to control them. What better way to get a group of hooligans together than call themselves a league, like we’re are all playing a big game of global football where the fans are poor the big boys in the team get paid a fortune and the poor sods who just love the game do it every Saturday for no money.


Well that’s my analysis of this fanatical group who have so much in common with the groups that bombed the World Trade Centre, London or killed that poor man than they have the intelligence to see. Its racist, it’s ignorant and its all due to a lack of education and understanding of the situation and that pisses me off.

I have English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish blood, was born in Singapore, in A British Military Hospital (therefore Britain) and was raised in Cornwall.

If asked for my Ethnicity - i always say White Asian (as it took an age and much paperwork for me to get a UK passport) and nationality - Cornish!

Having said that - i've never been from anywhere i've lived - so i choose Cornwall as it was the first and only place that's truly felt like home. The same is probably true of many so called 'immigrants', asylum seekers etc, of wherever they settled in the UK. Others, who probably grew up with someone like me Dad (Bless him ) would say that they are from the land of their parents - wherever that may be.

When i get off the ferry in Ireland, they always ask for Nationality and always get a grin when i say Cornish
