can someone recommend me (with links) some labels for my own mixes that will stick nicely to the polythene (soft) bottles of my own mixes. I have some Avery labels that I use but they don't stick very well.

I have got one of those labeling machines. Generally use black on clear tape, doesn't run if it gets wet, sticks on well and peels off cleanly when needed. Not as fancy as some, but does the trick.

I use a Brother QL-500 label printer for finished mixes. Bit more pricey (just under 40 quid) but given the cost of ink cartidges its likely to be cheaper in the long run.
Use it for labelling kids stuff as well

I have a Brother P-touch 1000 I bought in Lidl a few years ago. They still get then in seasonally once a year.

They are a bit like a modern up market Dymo tape labeler!!!

Just ordered those Rom. Now looking for some round ones to go on the bottom of the circular glass bottles I will be painting. Don't want to stick labels over my artwork so want to put little round ones on the base.

I use Scotch 'Magic' sticky tape.
It is translucent and you can write directly on it using a cd / dvd type marker. Sticks easily and well to plastic or glass bottles and is easy to remove when you need to.
I also used it to reduce the air hole in my RSST top after accidentally increasing it a bit to much! It doesn't wrinkle off despite how hot that top can get sometimes.

I use the free online software at avery.co.uk to create a PDF which I print on standard inkjet paper, cut em out and prit-stick em on... I must be far too northern (tight-arse) for my own good, but cutting and sticking is very therapeutic
