First time recoiling clearo/Nova heads - help needed please!

OK folks, decided to bite he bullet and try my hand at recoiling some of my old CE4 (?) and Nova heads in order to save a few quid.
I've done some reading on here and watched a few videos, but am not totally sure what materials I need. If I ordered some .2mm Kanthal and some 3mm silica wick, am I heading in the right general direction?
Any other helpful hints and tips gratefully received!

ETA: As a supplementary question, where would anyone recommend I buy from?

I tend to use .16 or .2 wire and 2mm wick only because I find the space small.

I'd agree with sandra on the 2mm wick.....I tend to use .02 wire on everything

The wick is sold at many of the usual vendors, my 2mm came from Poland I think

just untangle your 3mm wick?
its like a rope made up with 3 x 1mm strands wrapped together or i have even seen some vapers use cotton pads to make wicks.
so if u untangle 1 strand, u will have 2mm wick

when i recoiled my CE5, i just untangled the 3mm and used the 3 strands, been working fine since, also used .2 wire

Wont work with all wick - my 2mm is braided.

5 on the top, 4 on the bottom & it came out about 2.2 ?

Couldn't be happier with it - was dead easy to do

You can fit 3mm silica in a Vivi Nova head no problem. The extra diameter of the wick actually makes it easier to fit as you need less turns to achieve the same resistance

I don't have a multimeter - can I test my Ohm ratings on my Vamo before trying them out?

I don't have a vamo (yet  ) but I believe so.

@ andy yes u can with the Vamo

Hold + and - together for 3 seconds switches between VV and VW modes.
Hold - for 3 seconds gives you your battery level in volts
Hold + for 3 seconds gives you the resistance of your atomiser
Hold + or - for about 15 seconds changes between NO1 and NO2 mode

guys, are the pre-made vapourbreak coils/wicks suitable for use in CE/nova heads, i.e. are the legs long enough to have enough length to fit & trim, or are they a bit short ??? hanx in advance
