I bought ten once and they are quite good, I can't remember what ohms they were. The legs are long enough to do what you want. They are great for dual coiling. I wish I had more. Robby has bought loads of these from VB. he swears by them.

Thanks both neil, yes, I've dabbled a bit with a few CE heads with some success, and the 7-pack I got from fasttech need re-coiling before use (they're the ones that were giving the burned rubber flavour if you remember, that I was after some silicone grommets for). These looked to be the ideal solution.. re-coil without the faff of, well, re-coiling

I'm wanting as little faff as possible in my rebuildable world thesedays.

Perpetua is it because your a lady of leisure and you chosen to take the easy way out to avoid the faffing. what happened to the satisfaction of doing one from start to finish now send some my way. For the price that they are, its definitely worth buying these to save time and faffing, vaping is already a full time job.

I want to vape, save dosh, and not become too much of a slave to the mechanics of it (by the time you wash out, rebuild, and all the other faff that can go with vaping if you let it), I don't have time for all that. Especially over the coming 6 months after Mrs. G-J's op and recovery... I'll hardly have time to refill a carto properly, never mind owt else... hence why these pre-coiled coils look ideal

Good luck for Mrs G-J op and recovery.
I know what you mean, I can't even sit down for an hour without doing some mechanics with vaping. I need some kind of PA just to pass me the mod and press the fire button. All I want to do is just blow vapour at everyone.

Back to the grind next week, just as the heatwave arrives. In all honesty I've never been a serial coil builder, learning how to make a coil was more of a means to an end for me. So if there's a decent ready made alternative that isn't silly money then I'm happy to buy it, which gives me more time for other stuff. That said, I do enjoy and feel satisfied when I make/fit a coil for something and it works. Just nice to have the choices I guess.

That's it with coiling as I never know if its going to work till you test it and if it doesn't work, I feel like giving up. The other night I think I done two in an hour and couldn't face anymore. next day it was a doddle to finish the rest. I know if I see them again on the same site that I am already buying from, I know for a fact they be going in the shopping basket. If the dole sent me for a job and they said if you don't take it we will stop your money and the job was recoiling all day, I think I would say stick your money and then wander off to a farm to be a scarecrow so that I could blow vapour at the crows Sorry sounding like a lunatic but coiling scares me sometimes. even though I can do it. Try and not be to sad next week if the sun is out

I love re-coiling, it's very therapeutic in a weird kind of way

Lol, I'll be sad and mad I should think next week.

Only advice I can give after months of trial and error is that not all silica wick is the same. Eventually got the stuff that works from me off ebay from a German vendor, vaporbase-de, 3mm silica rope. More than likely sold in the uk too tho. Was continually getting funky tastes with other stuff and found that boiling did no good and some silica turned black if I used blow torch on it. This stuff stays white and you can unpick it so I use one complete 3mm strand + half of one, maybe 4.5mm all told. Give it a good once over with a blow torch, this stuff stays white, no burning. Get 1.8 ohms with 4 turns of .2 kanthal, works a treat out and about on a udt-l , save my vamo for indoors with carto tanks and aga-t ss wick. This is what works for me, but worth it in the end.
