Download a good online calculator like Breakthru's Ejuice me up Dan: ejuice.breaktru.com/Any large volumes measure with a syringe . . . small amounts of flavour I do by drops if they're under 30 ( 1ml ) . . . once you've got yourself set up with Supplies, it doesn't have to be a bank breaking pursuit. Although many of us seemed to have turned buying flavourings into an art form. Ok, so I've downloaded the calculator that you linked to, thankyou for that! Did wonder where to find these calculators! I'm still confuse though, on numerous levels!!! 1. You've said that you consider 30 drops to be = 1ml liquid, yet Oneday's screenshot shows 20drops=1ml? you can change this depending on the size of drop your dropper gives you2. Apostle's recipe (just below Oneday's) says to use 3.52ml/105 drops of VG, 11.235ml/337 drops of Capella VC, and 1.875ml/56 drops of Vanilla.. How would you approach this? VG for instance; Would you syringe 3ml and work out the amount of drops needed to finish it? (In this instance 15 drops?) 3. In Oneday's recipe, at the top it says 100%PG, yet in the "resulting recipe" it states that you need 9.49ml/190 drops of VG to make up the 30ml recipe? Where does this VG come into the mix? The figure at the top is your nic base - in my case 100% PG. Lower down on the left you set your target mix - 60/40, 70/30 or whatever, and it tells you how much VG to add. Flavours are PG and get calculated into the %

Stupid question time.. how do you know how many drops to 1ml your dropper will give, is it a case of trying it and finding out or are they marketed to each differentiation? so one would be labeled 1ml = 20 drops, etc? Also, your mix states 68.35/31.65.. is there a reason it isn't a straight 70/30? again, i'm sorry for what seem to be stupid questions!!!

The main rule on AAEC is that there are no stupid questions, only the ones you didn't ask The drops per ml is a trial and error thing, different bottles drip differently. The only reason it's 68.35/31.65 is that I set it up so as to add no extra PG as I couldn't be bothered with the fractions of a ml that would have given 70/30. When I mix if it's near enough it's good enough - my sense of taste isn't discerning enough to notice fractions of mls

Hi Roger, I must have read that post 20 times now, but the specific questions were just to set it right in my head.. like to make sure I fully understand as much as possible before I try to proceed! Don't like making mistakes that could have been avoided through research and asking questions!

DanI spent £40 (over 2 vendors) to buy all the bits and bobs to get me started on mixing. This included a few extra flavours over the vanilla custard ones so that I could try a few other recipes too. Hi Karen How you getting on with it though? One thing I'm not looking forward to is having to wait for the first mix to steep to find out if you have it right.. I hate waiting two days for the postman and so a month to find out if I do indeed like a certain flavour (custard for example) would kill me! Hi Dan I'm getting on great with it all. If you stick to members recipes to start with you know that they are tried and tested so will turn out ok. You can then make the odd tweak to suit your personal tastes - so a bit more vanilla if you want your PVC more vanillay etc. I've tried a couple of my own mixes and have worked on the assumption of needing about 20% flavour overall. I've downloaded Planet of the Vapes juice calculator to my phone and find it easy to use and I tend to work in ml rather than drops. The 1ml syringes are graded in tenths of a ml, I've just used drops for sweetener and vape wizard as they generally just use 2 or 3 drops per 10ml. It does require a bit of patience waiting for them to steep. Custards are best after 3 weeks but I've vaped them after 2 - I've now got a little production line going so there is some steeping while I'm vaping others. Menthol is ready to vape pretty much straight away and fruits are ready after only a few. As to the costs - yes the first month or so you tend to be spending as much, if not a bit more, than the cigarettes but then it levels out. Once you're stocked up with batteries, clearos, juices and mixing kits then your outlay should be minimal. Any other shineys you need want is down to willpower. It's like clothes and meals out - you spend what you decide you want to and can afford.
