...Seems like a good thread title so here goes. (This could take a while) When I joined this forum the first thing that happened was I won a mixing kit from 28vapeslater, (thanks so much), I'd already dabbled with mixing, mainly tobacco flavours, and found that most of my mistakes could be corrected with a bit of menthol, (TW Kool in my case), then I read the threads about Stevia and EM so got some Ethel crystals, mixed them with PG and added a few drops to a baccy mix that wasn't right. 2 days later it was brilliant, a sweet hand rolled taste similar to the loose baccy I used to buy years ago from a "proper" tobacconist. So, apart from the tobacco flavours, I've mixed- coffee, (great, almost wanted to drink it), brandy, (not so good but nice with the coffee), strawberry, (sweet but not really strawberry). Gooseberry, (total failure, don't know what this is supposed to be), I've got some more flavours arriving from 28vapeslater (really love that name, got caramel, champagne, dulche de leche, irish cream and banana coming) but the point of this thread is to ask the MC's -- What do I need to make, 1. cointreau and baileys? ( I've got real cointreau, can I use it?) 2. strawberry ice cream? 3. any ice cream flavour? 4. with what I've got? I think I'm asking more about additives and ratios rather than recipes, I know the nic base pg/vg ratios and allow up to 20% flavour in my mixes but I think I'm losing it somewhere, learn to walk before running comes to mind. Anyway, any advice would be gratefully received, I've got 100ml, 54mg base to mix down to 12mg and I'm off work this weekend so I've actually got time to do things properly. Sorry if I'm rambling a bit, tried to get everything in 1 post. Mike.

Koolada will give you a cool sensation without adding any actual flavour to a mix Mike, extremely potent . . . I use 2 drops in 10ml. I'll have a look for a link, see who has some in stock . . . . that added to cream/vanilla flavours would give you a good ice cream base. www.leisureliquids.com/koolada.html

You could try this for the strawberry ice cream, it's sweet, my OH loves it, you will need to add Koolada though if you want that cool effect, i removed it because my OH does not like Koolada so it's optional: EDIT: Ooops just noticed you said with what i have got

@pertpetua, thanks, thought koolada was menthol, will order some. sleepyduck, were you the one pogoing in the corner near the fire exit? @romalee, that recipe looks good, doesn't matter if I haven't got stuff, anything I need I can order. From recent experience uk suppliers are delivering within 2-3 days. I only ordered flavours that I thought I would like without thinking about what I could make. Anybody got a recipe for this?

Can't find the capella and the TPA is sold out, might try a pastry/pie flavour. could add a bit of cheese for a cheesy peas taste?

You might want to stay away from adding liqueurs to juice, there's a whole bundle of sugar in them that would do your atties no good at all! Could try adding some vodka instead of DIW and some orange flavouring & stevia, pretty much what Cointreau is anyway 8% champagne 12% strawberry will make you Eton Fizz You may also want to pop that Gooseberry to this thread if you can't manage to do anything with it allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/23484/bad-flavour-bank

The Gooseberry will be CCW I'm guessing ... I've only mixed at 5% so far ... seems weak and too sweet to be a real sharp gooseberry taste. Got some G-crumble steeping currently ... think it needs 10%

Thought there might be a prob with real liqueur, wonder what the best orange flavour is? the smell of Cointreau is a very clean/light orange so not too strong? that Eton fizz sounds promising though.

Ash, How did you know? I'm up to 20% with it, no sharpness at all. I expected it to be tart, wake your mouth up kind of thing but it wasn't there at all. I mixed it at 18mg so I'm quite happy trying to rescue it with other flavours/additives down to 12mg. (made 20ml of the stuff, not up to doing drops yet) I don't really see it as a failure, just a learning curve.

CCW flavours vary greatly in strength - bear in mind they were made for baking not vaping so there's no 'consistency' when mixed for our purposes. Trial and error and input from others is key with these flavours. CCW cream, for example, is so potent that more than a drop or two will ruin a mix for ever.

To me Baileys tastes more like good coffee with thick cream? So I need Koolada, Tangerine, possibly a cream flavour? Wonder why I ordered the Dulche de Leche?

Wonder why I ordered the Dulche de Leche? Every mixer needs some Dulche de Leche. It can add a creaminess to a juice and a certain amount of sweetness to. A few drops can sometimes turn a so-so juice into a good juice. Be glad you ordered it
