Little Introduction

Hello All!

I have been a long time lurker and have a few questions so thought i should register and participate in the forum!

Firstly about me.
Have been vaping for about 3 months now, after smoking 15 a day for 7 years.

I started off with a 'tank' kit bought from Zigs E Cigarettes which i didnt get on well with as the tanks tended to leak.

I then found Vapeesacape through this forum and purchased some boge standard resistance cartos which i got on with a lot better!
Last week i managed to lock my charger in my car (lost the keys) the day before i was due to go on holiday PANIC! so i rushed out and purchased a rechargable 10 Motives kit from my local Tesco which did me the week whilst i was away.

More recently, one of my original batteries AND the 10 Motive batter have given up the ghost completely so am down to a single battery.

Now i am used to the set up that i have but i am ready to move away from 'look-a-likes' into some more serious stuff.


So thats the intro over (sorry for the rambling)

What i would like to know now... i would like to stick with 510 connections for now as i have some vision nano clearomisers that i enjoy using and a box of 510 cartos. But i am need of more batteries!

Would an ego battery work with what i've already got? if not, what other options do i have?
I have only ever used automatic batteries but would consider manuals.

It should also work with the charger that i already have.

Welcome to you Ash and congratulations.

Yes an Ego battery will work with your carto's, the vast majority of fittings now are a 510 connection so it makes much of our gear interchangeable.

You may want a plinth as well, just to tidy up the outer set of Ego threads on your battery if you intend using it with carto's.

Yes an ego or Riva battery would work with any 510 cartomisers/clearomisers etc. Your 510 charger should also work but may be a lot slower to charge with than a specific ego/Riva charger.

i think i understand what this is for. (the ego batt has 2 threads, the 510 is the inner and the cone covers the larger thread making it look neater)

The only reason i ask about the charger is that the charger i got with the 10motives made my original batts hot when i tried to charge them with it so panicked a bit that the chargers were incompatible

That cone will work fine with cartomisers, Ash

I'm not sure about the 10 motives charger, but I do know that some of the chargers supplied with some of the ciggie lookalikes have reversed polarities.

im gussing that if i get myself an ego batt, once i have used up my cartos i could then get a full sized vision clearomiser which would fit directly onto the ego batt without the need for the cone?

ashjstarr paradise vape have a very reasonably priced "CE5 blister pack" - 900mh ego battery, ce5 clero and charger for £7 + 1.50p&p (flat rate).
I believe their juice is also good,(still just £1.50 p+P )
Not had their juice, but I'm very happy with the cheap kit (& I've now got a spare charger as well )

Yes Ash, you wouldn't need a cone with a clearomiser

I think I've read somewhere that 10 motives is REVERSE polarity

As an aside, I came here after seeing a 10 motives in Tescos. Wanted to make sure I was getting the best brand. Glad I came to AAEC - I never did get a 10-motives, but got a Riva 1100 kit  That was nearly 10 weeks ago - never wanted a stinkie since.

cheers fred, i might give that a go (cant argue for £7 and at least i'd have another charger!)

I get my juice from Vapology. 20ml of Spearmint, Strawberry and Eden Dew for £10 and i love all 3 of them! Wasnt a fan of their menthol though.

I've just checked the charger that came with the 10 motive and it says '5v charger. do not use with 4.2v batteries' so that might have something to do with it?

i went with the 10 motives as a temp over e-lite as i'd heard they were completely naff!

could anybody recommend a disposable that is well stocked in the UK for emergencies?

Just ordered a blister pack from paradise vape. Paid an extra quid for a colourful one as well cause i couldnt resist

Well done on your 3 months using motives, you done well and good call with the full size Vision clearos but before you do buy them check out the discounts codes on AAEC, savings to be had.

I wish I started on 510 threads because I initially started on kr808ds and although they are great to use I found that the vast majority of the market are 510 orientated. You have started very well. hats off to you and long may you enjoy your vaping.
