When young I suffered quite badly from hayfever. Went away in my teens. When I smoked my sinuses used to get quite congested. Now I vape and my sinuses are really clear. Alas this has caused hayfever to return with a vengeance, even with antihistamines my eyes are a bit itchy and I'm sneezing.

Hay fever is horrible, bit of nice sunshine and out comes the pollen. Have you tried the nasal spray?

With me its the eyes that are causing the worst of it usually. I just stock up on eye wash and flush them out regularly. Antihistamines normally take care of the sneezing but the long cold spring has caused massive quantities of pollen to be released this late in the year as the plants bask in the warmth.

In the long term local honey can help, as it contains honey made from the plants that are troubling you.

Hayfever can be a real pain, this is my first summer not smoking, and I agree that it is much more noticable! I used to have to grab a bag of stuff from the GP to combat mine - sneezing and coughing to the point of needing asthma inhalers and constant nosebleeds, which inevitibly lead to a nasty chest infection every summer. I was hoping those days were gone, as it hasn't been too bad the last 4-5 years, but maybe without the layer of tar covering my sinuses it could be back I do the honey thing every year, and it certainly helps, but it's probably too late for this year now, I usually start eating it around Feb/early March for best effect

Also get yourself to the seaside in the evening (if you live close obviously) Mum goes for a walk every night just before it gets dark and the little angiosperms of hell close for the night. I noticed this for the first time this year. Last year I was vaping and smoking so didn't notice it. This year I've had to get antihistamine tablets as my sinuses were playing tricks on me. Thought I was coming down with a cold for a week before I realised.
