Just after some advice please. dirty smoker looking to give up & do fine most of the time but alcohol & no cigs kills me! So, looking to try an e-cig. Don't want an all singing one yet but don't want a rubbish one either!! Have had a look and come across these basic ones & wondered if anyone could advise...

It's such a minefield isn't it?!! Don't want any fancy flavours or anything like that, just something simple but good.

Welcome aboard, Most people just want a cig style flavour to get them through the wrench from the stinkies. Most simple ego style starter kits are a good way to go. I would avoid the cg a like stuff as they are realy not very good by comparison, and normally very expensive too. Give it a week or so then have a go at some flavours, it turns the chore of giving up into a whole new world.

That seems quite a good value kit fiddles, I am looking for something like that to get a guy who works at the marina started. He doesn't want to spend too much to start with, unfortunately it's OOS at the moment.

Hi! As far as I can tell an "Intro-Vision" kit is an "introduction" (simple) ego battery with a Vision (style) clearomiser (clear tank with an atomiser inside). These are fast becoming known as "blister packs", a straightforward battery, charger and clearo. Nothing wrong with them. Quality will vary of course. I LOVE my Crystal mini and any sort of mini ego is a good thing (or 2) to own. So, if you bought a mini kit and also a blister pack, you'd have 2 batteries, 2 clearo's and 2 chargers. Could be done for £30-40 or thereabouts. OR, buy a 2 battery Riva deluxe 1100 kit. Longer battery time and larger e-cig. Any of that stuff = good. - - - - What I don't think is so good is the current fad for making such a big deal out of Joyetech "tank" kits. These are pretty bad and hold small amounts of liquid, not to mention the running costs of atomizers. I am currently helping two local vapers switch from these kits (which were £60 or more ) to clearomiser systems. Totally Wicked (the brand, the online sales and the shops) seem to think all these "tank" kits are the bees knees. I think it's more about Joyetech twisting their arms into selling a product which is seemingly different from everybody else. Easy-to-start vaping for a newbie involves just a battery, a clearomiser (or cartomisers) and some liquid. That's it.

It's very easy to lose touch with 'beginners kit' (not meant in any derogatory way) when you are fairly settled on what you use. So much conflicting info gets posted in new members that it takes a while to sort it out and find the decent, good value stuff, especially when the guy only wants to try it. £25-£30 is a good 'testing' price.

Sorry, this is probably a silly question....the Riva kit looks fine. However, i have no idea how it all works 'til i get it so i'm assuming i need to buy liquid, of which there are 10ml & 30ml, i guess they will both 'fit'? & i can see options of Winson, 3 5's or flue something?? i have no idea what these are, i just want a cigarette-like one?!!
