Well, if it's an "ology" it has to be good, right? I made my first simple zero nic gingerbread tonight with PV, VG and some Capella gingerbread flavouring. I thought it was going to be pretty straight forward with it not having any nicotine in it but I still had some questions which I am hoping someone can help me with. 1. After making the mixture I put a little bit in an evod clearomiser to test it out but wondered how you all tested out your juice. I've looked around for atomisers but they all look complicated and require manual recoiling. Is there anything simple for a beginner to use? It was really cool making something myself that I could vape. I've put it away to steep for a little while and hope I don't end up vaping it all before it is ready. I am feeling a bit more adventurous now and looking forward to trying some mixes and maybe even some with a nicotine base which leads to the next question: 2. I have some latex gloves I bought in a pound shop. Are these the same as Nitrile gloves one can buy in ECig stores or should I get ones labelled Nitrile? 3. If I start to mix nicotine based juice I am planning on starting with a nicotine base like these 36mg ones together with this calculator. Would I need googles and a protective suit for this strength? I am very worried about the potency of nicotine and would rather err on the side of caution but I am just wondering how dangerous the weaker bases are. Thank you for any help you may be able to offer. Edited due to realising the first two questions.

Well done kailey on your first mix! Now you've got into it, there's no stopping! The atomiser linked above is a good choice. I use heavy duty black marigolds from Tesco to mix with - we use them for the washing up as we like the water as hot as possible! I don't wear protective clothing, I'm just very careful handling the nic base, but as long as you are careful, there's nothing to worry about. I (and many others here) use this calculator - EJuiceMeUp - if you look through the members recipe collection on this forum you will recognise the page layout. It's free, easy to use, and the only adjustment I have made is changing the drops/ml measure to 30 from 20. Andy

Thank you Romelee, Andy and Perpetua. I have been hunting down some recipes and think I will be adding to my flavour collection very soon.
