I have a dilemma. I got the ego ce5 kit - battery and clearo which was £7.
I am now thinking about spares. If mine is rebuildable heads are £2 each.
If the clearo cracks I will need the complete unit and the CE5 clearo is £5.50
I can get a CE4 Clearomiser for almost the same price as the head, so I am thinking instead of messing about replacing heads which I could mess up just buy the CE4 and replace when its had enough.
On my other thread however it has been said that the CE4 Clearo is not as good as the CE5.
So my question is Why isn't it? It may be something I don't mind.
Also my battery is 900amh. I have looked for ego batteries to get a price and they have names like q or k. I don't know what mine is. Also how much are the batteries like mine? If a clearo is going to cost me £2.50 that only leaves £4.50 for a battery. Should I just buy another kit instead of a battery? Do I need another battery? I have 2.

if the ce4 are only 2.50 just buy more and use them as disposable i think most of us used the ce5 when every thing in general was more expensive plus the ce5's are easier to wash and clean. i think it depends on how you use them i ust to change flavor every day and clean them also i could burn one out in 2 days so would have been expensive so i learnt to coil new heads much cheaper

Hi and welcome I used CE4s for ages, they are good, but they aren't that good. I've moved on to iClear16s which are much better in my opinion, and look and cost the same as CE4/5s. Replaceable head clearos are sooooooo much easier to clean, so I would recommend those over the disposables. The tanks don't crack unless you drop/stand on them, they stand up pretty well to so called tank cracking liquids too. 2 batteries should be enough ...... which is why I have .....um at least 7 ego "q and k" batteries refer to the pretty patterns on the batteries, the actual battery is the same as a "normal" one. You pay extra for a pretty pattern, but not that much extra

These arrived from Fasttech this morning - www.fasttech.com/products/13531055 x 1100mah batteries for just over £16. All of them have charged up without problem. Also, these - www.fasttech.com/products/13531067 x CE4 for about £7.50. I've tested five of them so far and they're fine. An unexpected feature is a little LED light actually inside the tank which comes on when you press the button. Didn't mention that in the description, but for a little over a quid each, I don't mind.

I use ce4 clearos all the time, I have a few ce5 clearos and don't really notice any difference.
To wash the ce4s I half fill with water and shake, repeat a few times. Then use denture cleaners dissolved in a glass of water and leave overnight to soak. Remove the clearos and leave to dry for a couple of days.
It really depends if you want a quick easy hassle free vape or are happy to replace heads or other parts of the clearo.
I have a vivi nova, but still use the ce4 as my everyday attie.

sammy13OK - science lesson no. 1 Didn't get my vision empty, but did get the blister empty. Put a Nova head in, and its vaping like a not quite train, but it's 2.8 ohm head. It fits properly, no leaks as of yet. This is what I believe I have just fitted into the 'blister' clearo. 5 for £2.77 or 2 for £1.28. I can't guarantee them, but I'm fairly sure these are what came with my nova from this site Might be worth a try for £1.28? (Then you could get along to a local meet, and get someone to help rewick them )

sammy13Results of scientific experiment no. 1 Got up this morning, no leakage from the clearo that had been led down all night. Furthermore, no leakage whilst walking the dogs, with PV in hand or pocket. => I would say my Nova heads are a perfect fit for the "blister clearo" Part 2 of the experiment will be later - I'll fit a Nova head in a vision clearo - if it's good, I'll be fairly sure its a 'standard' CE5 head in them Ooh, I can also put the blister head in the vision, to confirm. I'm having trouble getting them both empty at the same time (not enough spares)

Thanks Fred. So here is what I have done. Been paranoid that something will break, crack, leak , I have purchased more supplies. I have gotten myself 2 ce5 clearos, and 5 heads from the same company. So they will fit the new ones, and hopefully may fit my blister pack as well.

It's always good to have back ups Sammy, it's a known unknown how long our kit tends to last . . . you've been sensible I'd say.

Good stuff sammy13 you can never have too many backups, and as someone said to me nearly 3 months ago "back ups for those back ups", I believe it was @chrissie that said that
