on a Mechanical mod such as the smok or any telescopic tube some suggest protected battery's some say none protected
some don't say
any input

i am assuming protected would be safer but got loads of unprotected already just trying to save a few quid

Its your face up close to it ,you pays your money and takes your choice.Would suggest a kick or crown or a hot spring at least

I only have one fully mechanical mod ( segelei telescope) & use unprotected in that without any problems..........although I have fitted a hot spring, but not sure that really affects it.

if your going for sub lo ohms say .6 to 1 you have to use unprotected batterys. if you like standard res id go with protected.
