SVD problem

Any idea where I can get some replacement insulator grommets that fit on the centre post of the SVD. They are the same size as the ones that fit on the centre post of an Aga T2. The insulator on mine has disintegrated and the SVD keeps shorting out

Tim, Do you have any old cartos. if you take out the bottom of a old carto and then slide it over the centre pin, it should hopefully do the trick as it is in theory the same procedure as replacing the one on a vamo

Wow Tim, Glad to be useful. Is there any way you can make it more of a snug fit. I done the same on the vamo a while ago and it was better than the original. If you have to push the pin down further to make it snuggier lol be careful you don't push it down to much or you could have a more serious issue. maybe its best to leave it the way it is untill you find a permanent solution.
