They tried to get onto to VTTV but they ran out of time. But ECW said they would back them financially, and I think so will a number of their members. I know TW are coming up with a battle plan. Maybe best if they all fought the same battle, but I don't know how TW feel.

TW stated they will go it alone. Who knows if that will stand the test of time.

Could it be possible that there will be a choice for the consumer, licensed 'medicine' e-cigs and non licensed products? After reading a report on Yahoo it seems to hint at this. The following paragraphs are what lead me to think this Manufacturers are to face tough new tests before they can sell their e-cigarettes as "licensed products", the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said. The move will also mean that licensed e-cigarettes can be prescribed by medics to help smokers cut down or quit. Now the MHRA will regulate the products so there is a consistent standard across all licensed products sold over the counter. While the regulator is not planning to recall unlicensed e-cigarettes - saying that the benefit outweighs the risk of users turning to real cigarettes - it is hoped that in the long term all products will be licensed. The full report uk.news.yahoo.com/e-cigarettes-regulated-mhra-122702468.html#0xOQv3J

By 2016 they will have to be regulated by MHRA. The non-recall bit refers to the time between now and 2016 kruegerbaitHope that clears that up.

After all the media today, Mrs Ash asked me what was going on, what was the decision, what did it mean? After explaining, she said maybe I should buy that liter of nic I'd been talking about ...
Good job I do all the cooking in the house and therefore the only person who opens the freezer ... kerching!
Opportunity was too good to resist ... that's 11 years worth in the bank now.
Let's hope it doesn't get to this (I don't believe it will) but view it as an investment in your future and spend wisely from now on ... you'll end up using it anyway even if there is no ban.
A final tip for the Ninja Guide ... act on opportunity ... and manage the freezer

Considering the stuff that has gone on in the past, that would take a rather large change on the stance of certain people at TW. Not unheard of, but unlikely I think.

Yes, that is what I meant in another post I made recently. There is little point in having different groups splintering off all over the place. It only makes everyone seem unprofessional and amateur. We also don't want inarticulate bully boys making fools of themselves on our behalf!

Forgive my ignorance but who is/are TW?
I spent much of my childhood in Kent - 'TW' meant Tunbridge Wells'
I'm assuming it's not 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells'....

must admit, I'm getting really angry about this whole (lack of decent) debate from the idiots in MHRA, NICE, the EU et al. I ended up having a bit of a rant on the Cancer Research UK page linked to earlier by matt (nice comment BTW matt ) For info, I'll paste it here:- The idiotic ideas and theories behind the arguments used to come to this regulatory decision could not have been thought up by right-minded people…I shall explain.. I smoked for around 30 years, up to 30 a day of roll-ups. I tried all the patches, gum, etc to stop, but none of these were satisfactory and more importantly, worked. I discover e-cigs – NOT, I may add, the silly cigarette lookalikes that all these studies, theories and whatever else are based on. I’m talking proper e-cigs, that actually look NOTHING like ciggies at all. We’re talking clearomisers, tanks, whatever flavour e-liquid you like, decent-capacity batteries, proper cartomisers you fill yourself, ABSOLUTELY NOT a small white cylinder with a brown end. And from that day almost 9 months ago, I haven’t touched another tobacco cig. I don’t WANT to touch another tobacco cig. I have NO NEED to touch another tobacco cig. I get the nicotine, I don’t get the tar and the other 4000 chemicals that are in tobacco smoke. My lungs work so much better than they did. My tastebuds work better than they did. My sense of smell works better than it did. I don’t smell like an ashtray any more. I am by no means alone on these effects of e-cigs. The estimate of 700,000 to 1 million current full-time vapers in the UK feel like this too. When did any of the studies that advised MHRA or NICE ever REALLY talk to any of these vapers rather than people who only ever tried the cig-a-likes and (suprise suprise) didn’t stick with them? The whole way this subject has been approached is now making me angry. E-cigs under medicinal licence? So do cigarettes, cigars, rolling and pipe tobacco also now going to need medicinal classification? I’m not ill, so what am I taking nicotine for, other than recreational purposes? They’ll be after classifying the caffeine in tea, coffee and pop next……
