Morning all I was out on In Manchester last night and had a cracker of a night in the frog an bucket comedy club and I vaped with no hassle whatsoever it was fantastic No one said a word it was great, At one point I went outside with a friend whilst he had an evil analogue, And a bouncer got chatting to us and was amazed at my 109 torch mod so much so he asked for a go (my extra drip tip came in handy) he was that impressed that I struggled to get it back off him at 1 point he said "I'll give you £50 for that rite now" I had to explain that you need the charger and juice to keep it running and it doesn't run on fresh air, although I was very tempted to sell it lol I wouldn't rip anyone off especially a 7 ft bouncer who works somewhere I want to return to So anyway frog and bucket ,Manchester, vaper freindly and a great night

I had a similar experience in Warrington last night. Went to a bar called The Lounge and asked the barman if it was ok to use my e-cig. Showed it to him and explained how it worked and he said yeah that's absolutely fine and thank you very much for asking first! I had a sneaky vape in the karaoke booth in Chicago Rock too couldn't be bothered to ask anyone when I knew we were going to be locked in a sound proof room for 2 hours lol

Damn I think I live in a more backward town. I don't go out to bars of the alcohol variety but enjoy a good coffee when out and about. One of the better outlets in my area was initially - "yeah its fine" when I asked about vaping. I managed to get to a table by the time the duty manager ran over and told me she had been asked before and had contacted her head office who said no to vaping. Luckily the weather was nice and the outlet in question has a lovely big terrace I could sit at instead.
I have been arguing via email with their head office ever since to ask them specific reasons for not allowing it - they are a big high street chain. I have slowly been working up the responsibility chain to get a better answer than - "we just don't allow it" (that is literally the first response I got from their head office). Just because, I have started contacting all the coffee house chains and I am making a nuisance of myself getting them (or trying to) to explain their policy for vaping.

Unfortunately the proprietor has the right to refuse and does'nt have to give a reason. Stinks I know, but there you go.

Sorry to her your experience hasn't been good Verey How stupid of them to say "We just don't allow it" Yeah, if thewy would explain in full their reasons I would possibly leave them alone. Others of the larger shop chains have quickly bunged my emails over to their press depts for consideration (ie. they are trying to spin a response) but not that first company who seem a bit thick consumer complaint wise. I have even used the "I'll destroy my loyalty card" ploy on them which seemed to at least get the email bumped up a bit. (yes I drink enough coffee the loyalty card is actually worthwhile) In the meantime I shall soon have to find an indoor coffee venue for a visit by my sister next month who also vapes - its looking like it will be a small independent coffee bar rather than chainstore. Literally coffee places are worse to try and vape in than cafe/restaurant or pubs round this way.

Have to admit, I simply don't ask - I just get on with it. I very rarely have any bother.

I also went out on Thursday night and went to the Bush inn in Kirkbride Cumbria.I was told by the gaffer to just crack on with it I pulled my Provari and Arry tank combo out and filled the pub with vapour After a few minutes i had about ten people wanting a go on it,they were amazed and all of them bought up a lung when they had a go.I chatted in length with the gaffer about e-cigs and pointed him to Eastmall and the Riva kits to buy in bulk for his customers. He now has some on order and they are all spoken for when they arrive so thats easily another ten people converted which i am very happy about.

That's brilliant. I told the only smoker who was out with us last night about mine and she is going to look on the internet for one. She only smokes when she drinks but she hates going outside on her own/in the cold. Might have my first convert lol

I explained about the poor battery life of ciggy lookalike batteries. Its great to recommend the Riva to newbs as its definately a good starting e-cig for anyone new.Ive also pointed the newbs to here so that they have a good place for help when the kits arrive,it was a very enjoyable evening.I did drink way to much though and vaped my way through 15ml of RY4

Have to admit, I simply don't ask - I just get on with it. I very rarely have any bother. I don't get out much but when I do I seldom ask - I vape in the shopping centre for instance and as yet the security staff have not collared me. Don't know why I asked that time - perhaps my vapey sense was tingling that unfriendlies were close by. I am going to find a place for me and my sister to have a coffee by testing out venues in Stirling by going to them and vaping over a coffee to see the reaction. The coffee outlet I had trouble at I normally sit on their terrace anyway so it isn't an issue - but you just can't predict the weather round here. Might have to start the campaign for vaping in coffee shops - maybe link up with rusty at CAM-VIP as a sister group, LOL (just a thought, don't actually have the drive for it atm).
