EvIc or SVD? Decisions, decisions...

biggest drawback on evic is when outdoors or in car you cannot see shit on evic screen, it must be worse display I have ever seen for outdoor viewing

For what it`s worth I have both, the EVIC is a bit short on OOMPH for me and in a drop test I am pretty sure the SVD would win, so it would be the SVD for me every time

That, I do agree with!! Would be nice for some sort of brightness adjustability to be included in the next update!

Mind you, once it's set, very rarely do I need to mess with it! Tend to use it on the RVW settings if I'm out and about..

I thought it was me I too feel that, for instance 4v on evic doesn't pack same punch as 4v on vamo or my cheapy lava tube type thingy (I call her Ling ). Ling for me is cheapest I got but packs most oomph

I have dropped my evic on tiled floor from my worktop (well my dad knocked it) and it slipped out of my hand again on tiled floor from waist height and not a scratch (both times it landed on its side mind). Is the SVD a pass through too, if not that is another advantage, and I dont have to faff and change batteries

fiddles, I had a provari in my hand (30 seconds worth ) and it did look nice, also I think with the quality of it and by all reports it's built to last but as we all know nothing lasts forever. I do agree with what you say about it being overpriced. If i had plenty of dosh. yes I would get one but being on a shoestring it probably be 8 vamos or 6 mvps or 4 SVD or 1 elite anyday.

I seen the links you posted for the evic matching attys (nice find) and they do look nice. Evic will be my next buy unless you wanna buy me one. If I will the lottery I will buy you a provari (honest).

Hmm, more pro's for the evic, gonna keep me thinking!

Not too worried about how heavy or large an svd is, I like a big one (ooh err missus!), but I do like to fiddle with techy bits, so thats a plus for the evic.

Output limit is no prob for me on either - I never hit 5v, all my juices seem to fry at that.

Gah! Now I dont know again! I'll be watching those pbusardo vids this afternoon, hopefully they will help me decide!
