Thanks all for your welcome messages and advice - still trying to find the type where i don't need to press a button to activate -- am looking at skycig (any thoughts) Many people come on here after trying Skycigs complaining of poor performance and battery life and asking us for a "decent" e-cig. Pressing a button quickly becomes second nature, if you get a Skycig type you'll probably end up buying a button type pretty soon afterwards, so why bother? The kits we've linked to are because of our experience in what is PROVEN to be good having experienced both types, they will also last much much longer than a Skycig.

Bought them to replicate the look of a cig and hopefully to replicate the whole experience. Sadly it was was a complete waste of time and money. A year later I bought the Intro Nova starter kit, on my 9th day now and have no need or intention of ever smoking a ciggy again. The elite had no power, just didn't get that umph that I needed. The button pushing, to me, is important and makes all the difference. Others can explain much better than me as to why, all I can say the difference is like the difference between mince and fillet steak.

There are also many limitations as to which cartomiser/delivery system you can use as well. Get a decent recommended kit from the start and your chances of making the switch successfully increase dramatically Richard.

Thanks all for your welcome messages and advice - still trying to find the type where i don't need to press a button to activate -- am looking at skycig (any thoughts) Like many others I tried a basic e-cig (nicolites) similar to skycigs and changed to he Vape Escape Riva 1100. It has a power button and the battery is amazing, 5+ times more powerful than a skycig making it easier to draw and produce a good vape (smoke) and throat hit. Try the basic skycig by all means, but like most here, it will probably soon become your back up.

Update on the e-cig/vape debate -- i am now in possession of an ZMAX v3 and it looks great (i didn't actually put my hand in my pocket for this one as a friend took pity on me and dug this out of his drawer) Due to the lack of any user manual i have spent the last 4 hours working out how to adjust the voltage, access the other menu items and spill half a gallon of e-liquid down my front. The vape is very good as far as this novice can judge but i have one problem that i need help on and that is how do i work out what ohm rated cartomiser will work with this device. The one that came with it doesn't say anything but i know i will need to get a couple of spares just in case. Again, any advise will be gratefully received

Which the Zmax will read for you . . . take a look at Macca's thread here, it's for an earlier version but should still help you with the devices functions and menu. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/15253/sigelei-zmax-menu-system?page=1&scrollTo=295754

richardh Thanks very much for the update As Perpetua says, that's the beauty of of this type of vaping device, you can chuck (almost) anything on it and the electronics will adjust to the cartomiser you use. Just a couple of tips: 1. don't be tempted to turn the volts or watts up too high between 3.5 and 4.5 volts should give a good satisfying vape, go any higher and you risk burning the juice rather than vaporising it and it tastes YUCK! 2. The same goes for watts between 6 and 9 watts is usually enough to get a good vape. Enjoy your new device!
