Hi everyone, I'm new here and was hoping for some advice. I've been smoke free and vaping for almost two months now. I have an ego battery with a clearomizer attached which I think is great however having a few problems. Some of the clearomizers I've bought don't seem to work that well, and give a burnt taste after only using a few times. Can anyone recommend a reliable place to buy relatively cheap clearomizers? Also how offen do you change your clearomizer? I find mine work for a couple of weeks and then the e-juice tends to go a funny colour and not much vapour is produced. I tried cleaning one and leaving it to dry for a couple of days but it doesn't work anymore now. I was also wondering what flavours you all use? I've tried a few but so far only really like menthol. I don't know if I'm just buying the e-juice from the wrong place though, cuz they never seem to taste particularly good.

Ok so with the clearos if you have a link to the ones you have that would be great. Im guessing they are not re buildable ones so to get the best out of them give them a wash once a week and then when dry give them a dry burn. As for other clearos i would personally get either some kanger evods or vision v3 as these are re buildable meaning you can take them apart to clean and then instead of buying a whole new clearo you cam just replace the head (the bit with the coil amd wicks) making them cheaper to run. Lots of others out there like mini novas vivi novas but the evod and v3 are spot on and perfect for am ego battery. If you want cheap clearos these are great and i can personally vouch for these www.vapeland.co.uk/ce5-clearomizer-rebuildable-aka-ce4-v3-231-p.asp and spare heads for them here www.vapeland.co.uk/ce5-replaceable-heads-111-p.aspAs for juice it is very personal as one persons taste is so different to somebody elses. Try these for liquids www.vapology.co.uk/tailor-made-e-liquid-2252-p.asp these are great as you can add extra or double flavour. www.thealchemistscupboard.co.ukThere are lots of others and really just trial and error to be honest. Other peeps will be along in a bit with there favourites. Have you thought about mixing your own? So cheap clearos. There are threads on aaec about fasttech and vapourbreak. Have a read of those and have a nosey round there sites as they are cheap but in china so longer delivery times. Hope that all helps a bit. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

Just to add. Your juice going a funny colour and not much vapour is your coil gunking up and this is why you dry burn the clearo to get rid of the gunk.
Anymore questions just shout.

Hmmmm. The infernal clearomizer debate. Clearomizers are cool; I like them and *we* seem to like them. They do a good job mostly. There are a lot to choose from. If I had to start my collection all over again (I must have 20 clearos) I would probably NOT buy CE4 stardust and possibly not even CE5 rebuildables. For vape quality, I think the eVod is excellent and the atomizer lasts a good long time, the fact it doesn't dry out helps. For reliability, I would always favour the Mini Vivi Nova. The 510 is guaranteed to work, whereas eGo fittings can sometimes mess you about, maybe only temporarily, but enough to annoy. I am not a fan of the T3 or MT3, they leaked terribly for me....probably more to do with my habits of chucking things in my pocket or loose or upside down, or by the gear stick, or in my Jacket etc. The iClear is OK, but the small one is just the same as a Vision V3, only hotter and more vapy!! For most, the evod is probably the one. - - - - - One thing I will mention is this. All over the forums on the internet people are making this massive deal out of rebuilding their evod heads (replacing the wick and coil). It has become a "badge of honour" on certain forums (not here) and people are saying how "easy it is" and how "wonderful" their handy-work is in managing to do such a feat...... Now, some people can do it. Not mentioning any names, there are somebodies on here who have it down to an art....I salute him/her! However, I can't do it. Nor can many others. Give it a try, by all means, but buy some spares please.....

Like giles, can't better Roscopecotrain and his advice, sound and comprehensive. Welcome to the forum, and feel free to ask away - that's what we're here for. I have bought clearomisers from both Vapeland and Vape Escape and can vouch for them both, good retailers. CE4s are the way to go, just learn how to recoil them yourself, and they are pence to run! Only advice I can add is for cleaning soak them overnight in Vodka ( I recommend Tesco's own brand) as this cleans them up perfectly, don't even need to dry burn as the coil comes out spotless.
I must admit when I first saw this suggested I was sceptical but after trying it I was amazed at the results.

I've got a rebuildable clear, but am very new to all this! So, I dry burn when it starts to taste yucky, how often can I dry burn before I have to replace the coil? TBH, a couple of dry burns weekly is about all most atty heads can take - after that the quality drops off and you might just as well recoil or simply replace the head with a new one @ c. £3 - the difference on installing a new head is so large you will wish you had done it earlier anyway There is a finite length of time that these heads last before they lose so much efficiency.
