SD Keyring with a nano clearo is ace for stealth vaping. I went to spain last weekend and had in my hand luggage ... Vamo, Paps, 4 x SD Keyrings, a nano clearo 2 x wee boaby tanks 4 x 18350 and 4 x 18650 batteries and 30 ml of juice. The thing they stopped and searched my bag for was... the liquid which needs to be in a clear bag and put in the scanner tray separately to your hand luggage. Mrs found it extremely funny to see me get stopped shortly before she was pulled over and the customs officer pulled out a MAHOOOSIVE bottle of hairspray out of her bag and I nearly wet myself laughing

I took a 10ml bottle through security at Leeds Bradford and got it taken off me I didn't want to argue because it was 4am and she was letting my actual ecig go through (with liquid in it!) and I didn't want to risk it. Ignorance I think, they should train their staff.

Flew to Jersey from East Midlands with Flybe in August, took through security my iTaste SVD with a T3 full of juice. Carried it right through in my hand no bother, didn't even go through the scanner. Had read on the flybe website that we weren't allowed to take E-liquid on board as it was classed as a poison (actually names eliquid in the terms on their site) so I packed that in the hold luggage to be safe. Although I've no idea how they would have known I have it, airport security carry out the hand luggage checks, not the airline, and as this was an airline policy, not an airport or national policy, I don't know how they police it.
Flew to Tenerife from Birmingham in October, with Monarch, took in my hand luggage 2 x spinner 1300, 2 x backup eGo 650, 3 30ml bottles of juice, and several clearos. No problems, but was made to put the juice, and my filled clearo in a clear security bag and put it through the scanner this time. Still no problems.
Can also confirm I vaped on both planes, no problems, Flybe in my seat stealth like. Monarch I went into the toilets. No problems with smoke detectors. And I use 100% VG!

I fly back and forward from Switzerland and take my Vamo, Magneto, Dripper, fogger, protank, rsst and rebuild supplies (something to do in the evening!) Normally about 60ml of juice in the liquids bag, no problems. They did ask me to take my Magneto out of the carry on bag, so now I just put it in my ecig case and no problems (thats London City airport to Zurich)

I found that the security staff were much more interested in my ego batteries than juice. Also, don't forget that liquid expands in a plane. You may find that your tanks leak. Vape them down as much as you can to reduce the risk. Happy holidays!

Ignorance I think, they should train their staff. Leeds/Bradford are one of the strictest airports for everything I have found. What they decide is the total answer so you did the right thing not arguing with them. The customs and security at Leeds are like the gestapo - nothing at all will get passed them and even if it is legal if they decide they want to take it they will do. I had 1000 ciggies entering lb and although the limit was 3200 and I was a smoker at the time, I had them taken off me, he did not believe they were for personal use. I was wearing a patch , had a pack open in my pocket, and desperate for a ciggie after a 12 hour journey. Money and ciggies gone. Other people I know have had nail clippers, disposable razors etc taken from them here. They are a law unto themselves unfortunately.

Everything was fine the last time I flew except for my bag being searched as the cartomisers looked like bullets I popped all my e-cig gear on the tray on the way back

I flew to Atlanta from Heathrow and back this year. I put my clero in the liquids bag on the way out but forgot on the way back and just chucked my MVP and filled IClear30 in the plastic tray. No problem. I vaped in the loo both ways.... Always smelt better when I came ou than when I went in, I made sure the vapor mixed with lots of air from the air con to make sure the smoke detector would not fire.

I went to Turkey this year through Gatwick. There were 4 of us all together, each with different kit in our hand luggage. All of us put our preferred kit including clearos straight into the trays, with mobiles, keys etc. Our extra juice went in clear bags, no-one batted an eye. I think the guys working on the x-ray machines must have seen pretty much every mod out there by now We also found a quiet corner once we were in the departure lounge where there were already a group of girls vaping. They'd asked and were told there was no problem having a vape there.
