I've been using the same ss mesh wick for a couple of weeks now, replacing the coil every few days works nicely; the Aga isn't easy to dry burn (having no syringe yet to remove juice) so I just removed the wick, stripped off the gunky wire, gave the wick a shot of the blowtorch, and rewired. No problemo. Wondering though, when's it a worth chucking a heavily carbonised wick and making a fresh one? Am I losing out on sticking with my wicking?

I've been recoiling every few days - Not that there has been much wrong with the coils it's just that I'm still new to rebuildables and can't stop myself from messing about with them. Still not been able to match the vape I had from my first wick and coil which is a downer as logic says I should be getting better at it.
I use 2mm cable for wicks and have not felt the need to change them, I guess they are 4 or 5 weeks old and going strong.
My theory is that I'll know when it's time for a change when I start noticing my vape drying up.
No point in changing it if it's working.

think my last mesh recoil was about 4 weeks I just dry burn with ejuice in vape down to about a mm then lay the aga on its side with wick at the top dry burn might take about 2 or 3 mins to burn juice off then I mess with the coils get them glowing evenly again change the ss mesh wick couple of times hotspots seem to burn holes in them now running ss wire 2 mm with ss mesh around the top same dry burn procedure d think the wick will last forever just replace the mesh only trouble I am having is I have to run with fill screw out or it dont wick properly but I did run the ss mesh down into the hole

I don't do mesh Dave . . . but other than that. only when it's essential. Funky taste/tight draw. It's a bit boring I find.
