Recoiling

I want to recoil my evod using 3mm ecowool and .2 kanthal wire how many times do i need to wrap it round for a 1.5-1.8 ohm coil ?

Hi browzer, with 3mm wick i would do just 3 turns with average spacing and not tight around the wick (not doubled)

I struggled with 2mm ekowool in my evods and ended up with 2 x 1mm (1 with coil and 1 on top for flavour)

Found that the flavour was much better with the latter..

3mm wick is rather thick for an Evod head, you may struggle to fit it in the space Browzer . . . Rom's guide is well worth following:

I have a 3mm wick in the evod now it is 5 turns and 2.6 ohms works superbly on my vamo at 4.7v loads of vapour and more flavour than the original coil it came with, but I want to use it on my ego battery but only get feeble vapour and no taste.
It is a bit of a squeeze to get the wick in but just need to lower the ohms so it will work with the ego battery.

I found that the 2mm gave such a tight draw and even at 5v wasnt very productive..

Dropped down to the 2 x 1mm and it was quite happy on a riva!!

I myself have recently changed from 3mm Ekowool too 2mm Ekowool with 2 x Strands on top being due to my 3mm Ekowool has expanded a fraction and the fit is too tight.

Just done my Kanger T3 tonight with 2mm and 2 strands on top, have tried other options, but 1 strand is prone to flooding, and 3 strands is less flavour imo.
I normally do 4 wraps of the coil and its usually 1.9ish (ohms)
