Hi all again, Still happily vaping now for almost 3 months, and haven't touched a 'stinkie'. I have got used to my Ego C twist now and love it, BUT, I bought some new atomizer heads at a local shop, they are 2.2 ohm, but I like to use my VV battery on full power (4.8), but this burns the head out instantly, I have to turn it right down and do not get the same throat hit. What ohm atomizer do I need to use the VV battery at the high setting. Thanks in advance for the help. XX

Hi dawnie and welcome back Congratulations on reaching nearly 3 months. I have only just reached past 3 weeks but am plodding on. Can't help with your problem, sorry. I would have no idea what I am talking about, but hope someone comes along shortly to help you out

Hi there. Congratulations on your 3 months - great feeling, eh?! Oneday has done a great thread with 2 easy to read charts that will answer your queries - its called Eureka, volts ohms and watts at the top of this general discussion thread. I don't think anyone will give you a better explanation than him!! allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/threads/recent/8815

I would imagine the burning is more the juice being burnt rather than the head.

you're welcome If I remember right, PBusardo put a 2.5ohm evod atty on a twist at the highest setting with no burning problems.

It all depends on the juice as well, some will cook.

I don't think it should make much of a difference whether you use high volts and high resistance or low volts and low resistance - it is the power that matters - so in theory you should be able to find a voltage setting which gives you the same throat hit without burning.
But it is possible that your new attys just aren't as good as the old ones. If they are getting the low resistance by having fewer coils rather than by having fatter wire then I guess the juice will burn more easily. Not that I am aware of any bad evods being sold.
You might like to try a double coil such as an iclear. It is a bit of a different vape to the evod - warmer, amongst other things - but because it achieves the low resistance by having coils in parallel (so more of them) you should get the throat hit and taste without the burn.

dawnie turn the power right down on the Twist, then slowly turn it up just a little at a time. A new attie with a 2.2 resistance should vape quite well at around 3.9 to 4 on a Twist. But, always start very low with a new one and just go up very slowly until it hits the spot.
